fix the issue about long distance spotting!

hey guys, when you spot things in the distance with your soflam, scope, or binoculars, it doesn 't spot at the point you are aiming to, but somewhere much closer by, this is very annoying when sniping(both DM/S), as a spotter, or just for normal infantry with binoculars..
it seems the spot feature has some kind of 'bullet drop '
please look at it.

This is basically a BF2 bug since in BF2 you can't spot at long ranges. I heard that the devs can't fix this...

It is a BF2 bug. If you want to fix it mail or w.e the EA games to make a patch

Anyone contacted EA?

What are the BF2 bugs? Anyone has a complete list? Has anyone actually contacted them?
We should get a full list of all them and then everyone should contact them to have them fixed...

It seems they only fix bugs in BF2142 nowadays. (Not to lead into the discussion to do BF2142 PR)

It's not a good idea to simply come on the forums and demand something from the devs.
They know about the trouble with spotting. If it can be fixed, it will be. If it can't, then it's hard-coded and we can't do anything about it.

I was referring to the BF2 bugs. I think the PR devs do an excellent job considering the BF2 problems.
However, I paid for my BF2 and I expect it to work.
In either case, I want them fixed because I can't play BF2 100%. They will fix it if it is enough people bothered about it. Right now everyone says "It is a BF2 bug, don't bother about it.". That attitude will never get it fixed.

I was referring to the op, not to you. And I think that EA/Dice are aware of the majority of the bugs in BF2.

unfortunately DICE/EA are done with BF2, so any bugs will either have to be dealt with creatively or get used to them

I think another issue is that EA didn't intend BF2 to require such long spotting distances, and PR is going beyond the scope of what was intended. I doubt they are going to attempt a fix on something that has little impact on the game they released in its vanilla form. If a mod encounters a problem that doesn't exist in the base game, why should they fix it?

Now if they had plans to release a new expansion for BF2, maybe then they might address the issue.
