Spawning on the squad leader while driving armor

There is something I and a friend find very annoying while dueling it out in armor and being a squad leader, people spawn on you .. If you're in a good tank battle and are in the gunner seat, people will spawn in your driver position and start moving your tank all around, thus messing up your line of fire and worse sending your tank down the side of a mountain. I've been killed several times because of this and its annoying.
Is there anyway for someone to spawn on the .50 cal if they dont have the crewman kit?

Wait, so what you're saying you soloed in a tank? If someone was in the driver position at all times, then you wouldn't have this problem.

this is not what hes talking about man. some people don't have a huge squad to play with or can find someone intelligent enough to operate a tank with them with any success.
cent 1. the problem here is the
stupid shake that the vehicles have when someone without a crewman kit spawns in it. i thought this was a reality mod!!!!! vehicles done bounce over the place when someone that doesn't know how to run it sits in it.
cent 2. and the other part of this in find unrealistic is that in ALL the vehicles that have this problem, APC, TANK with the way you enter the vehicles the drivers seat should NOT be the first seat you sit in. with all the tanks you cant enter from the hull, you have to climb to the very top to get in through the commander hatch there for putting you in the commanders seat first. and with the APC's you enter through the back or the commander hatch again. therefor first spawns should be in the commander or passenger seats for the APC.
my 2 cents

ive seen it happen with APC's and the commander truck as well, when some one spawns they tend to bounce around like they have hydrolics lol

of course. if you need two members to operate a tank, than why does the game allow one man to operate the tank on his own?
if it's bad to operate a tank with one man, than why not penalize him with an extra 10 second reload time for the tank shell? that or just not let anyone operate a tank without a tank crew. if that were the case we wouldn't have this problem.

you don't honestly think the devs were all sitting around a table and thought:
"hey heres an idea maybe we can discourage 1 man tank operators by making the tank shake like a vibrator out of hell whenever someone without a crewman kit spawns in it."
and if you don't want people spawning in your tank, tell them not to spawn on you... or better yet, lock your squad.

Way to be a ****.
We're just tossing this up there as an idea because the shaking is
excessive!

Technoviking you have no idea what your talking about. The shaking is not something the devs added in as DarkTalon said. It's a BF2 ENGINE BUG.
It probably isn't possible to designate where someone spawns or the devs would have done this already I'm sure.

Well I thought I put together an intelligent argument/statement about it sir. I'm sorry I am just a player of the game thats pissed about something I only see in
this mod and that I don't know the inner workings of the game engine works, thank you. I would still like a dismissal by a Dev though just to be 100% sure.

I'm wondering if they could just make the 50 cal position 1 then gunner 2, driver 3... Right now it's the opposite. That would make one man APC work easier (tank too but that should really have 2 people at all times). But like you said that may be impractical / impossible.

One command truck bunny hopped over my mine once. I just couldn't believe my luck. Wish they had taped me when I gave sitrep to the SL.

Haha.
The annoying thing is when you spawn on an APC and get out and the APC will sometimes jump all over the place and TK you..

I can't even come to terms with bunny hoppers, now I got bunny flopping APC/Trucks to deal with as well. LOL Oh yeah, I got an APC on top of my head a couple of times. Interesting.

Simple solution:
If you want to ride around in a tank then let someone else be a Squad Leader.

Maybe Im too old, but it pisses me off when someones joining PR/ PR forum and first thing to do is complaing about something. And saying how someone deserved to be a **** by suggesting to play in a team. That really makes me wonder why DEF's still care.
If you dont like the mod, dont play it. Its as simple as that.
And if you like it, but there are some little things that you find not quite right, say thank you FOR A GREAT FREAKING FREE GAME AND ALL THE DA*N WORK THEY DID FOR FREE!!!
and after that make a suggestion, polite one, WITHOUT implying that something is ****, and makes it unplayable, but state the problem, and suggest a potential sollution, ask what others think about it, and what ideas they might have.
In my opinion there should never solo the tank.
There always is someone who would like to go with you in a tank, get him into your team, communicate via VoIP, and even if he don't know how you can always instruct him, and teach him (like the old PR community used to be - friendly, helpfull, polite. "I don't know how" "Cmon mate I'll teach you, not like now "I dont know how" "Noob" KICK).
And if he is a "retard" its the approach that changes those people. So dont say you have to solo in a tank -> you simply want to.
And about the problem... I think that spawning in a drivers seat is really a problem because of the bouncing, maybe as someone suggested make passenger seats as first and gunner/driver last, except choppers I think... But I doubt that it can be easly done if at all.

Like everyone else has said it's simple.
You want a squad for a tank, make a 2/3 man squad and lock it.
For a mech squad DON'T be a squad leader.

Irrelevant in PR 0.7 - issue has been resolved.
