Kitophobia sniperiensis

Thanks mates, after being quite stable for many years, now I have developed a major disorder:

Kitophobia Sniperiensis (Fear of accidentally picking up a sniper kit)

Last night, as militia on Mestia, I accidentally picked up a DMR-Kit. It was crowded, a bit smokey and... Ok, I simply did.

And my brain went havoc: upon seeing the rifle appear in my hand I began hearing voices in my head, mainly yelling the n-word. Adrenaline rising, I tried to get rid of that poisonous snake frantically pressing the G-key. Things got worse in my brain, when Clavivs actually said someting about the sniper kit having been picked up (I know there was no offence meant... and none taken).

I'll be off to therapy, mates. Hope she doesn't forbid me PR altogether.
My rescue might be it is not yet in the ICD-10.

On the other hand, a confrontation therapy would be rather fine.

;)

Soz to say, the DMR is not a sniper rifle and should not be treated as such. 3/4 of them have the same 4x zoom as the scoped assault rifles and they are all semiautomatic or fully automatic unlike their sniper rifle ******* sisters.

What? You think they should all stand against an orange background? Fine by me...

Haha. If used RIGHT they can be an excellent addition to any team.

Except i only know two who can make that difference.

One of them Starts with a 'Kenn' and ends in a 'way'. The other is Space Cadette.

Im curious as to what the 'N-word' was....If its offensive, just dont comment on it further or this post.

N-Word ?
n00b I guess (shame on me for saying this terrible word) :-P

DMR rifles are not snipers - they are not supposed to be used alone, but with squad to prolong squad's fire distance. Unfortunately they are not used this way, because marksmen is 1337 snip3er's next kit to request, when all snipers have been taken...

And since Riflemen actually do a better job at DMR roles now :|

That is only the case with the L86A2 LSW and the Type 88, with their corresponding assault rifles. These weapons have the same base damage with a slightly longer range until they starts losing damage. On the other hand, the SVD and M14 are in a class of their own.

ROFL! Did you play in my squad later on when I went on a rampage with the marksmankit/supportkit on Street after? I was all over the map yelling I am "LEEET", typing it too, when norhawk kindly corrected me and said it's called 133... hold on, I have to look it up again. 1337. Thats it! I went super uber 1337! One guy actually said on VOIP: "OMG - I think Clavdivs just went bonkers."

Thanks Doc, for one of the more entertaining threads I've read. And nah - you're actually pretty good. Your welcome to play anytime.

By the way, can anybody tell me how the hell you actually hit anything with that damn sniper rifle? I can't hit jack!

Point the crosshair at an enemy, bullets don't find targets by themselves.
