if a pinned down squad could rig their vehicle to drive itself straight forward and get the enemys attention so they can escape. For example put a brick on the accelerator and then put it in drive. But something much simpler for in-game like accelerating then pressing a button and jumping out will make it continue in a straight line.

Nah, thats mote Knight Rider.

MacGyver would just use the Ka-Bars of his squadmates to transform the Jeep into a helicopter and flies them to safety.

But anyways, I don't really think that this would be good, most of the time where I was in such a situation, the squad was either to far away from the car, or close enough to just jump in and drive away (Not counting of course those times when we just hadn't a car with us :/)

When I saw the thread title I thought it would be in reference to armor decoys;



They were all the rage in the "bad old days" when we thought we were about to be swamped by soviet armor rampaging through the Fulda Gap. They even went so far as to include IR generators to show up on thermals thus drawing fire away from the real (and numerically less) real tank crews.

They wouldn't. They'd hop in the guns on the vehicles and shoot with them. People in PR don't do that because atm gunners are afforded jack all for protection.

By the same token they sure as hell wouldn't stick a brick on the accelerator and let it go. I cannot imagine any situation in which this would be used.

So... Let me get this strait. You think that ppl will send a vehichle at the enemy and walk back to the base/camp/whatever? And the enemy will probably shoot at the car for 10+min so the squad will have enough time to get away?

ok i have been in many situations where i could use such a decoy. I have even gone to such an extent as to use the tank bug. If u and a teammate sit in a tank and the driver leaves the squad then jumps out the tank will keep driving this saved me and my squad when we were up against 2 tanks it gave us time to spot the enemy armour and run to nearby buildings to wait for the armour to be destroyed.(ps. my teammate jumped out to)

Im sorry if it offend anyone but this is just... just.. well... stupid.
Vanillas would just use them all the time, and I mean ALL THE TIME as moving bombs and we would be left with no vehicles at all. But discussion about this is just pointless cause its... stupid.

I have an idea make RC jets and add an enormous charge inside so it will blow up with a big boom. And oh oh oh and make some cars look like enemy cars so we can plant them in enemy base, but when enemy sits inside it will explode and take down lots of others, that would be cool and 1337

If you bail out of a moving tank in PR, youll die. And when you see two tanks, hide or take one of them out. Dont bail and let them blow up your tank. Thats just stupidity
