If this has been asked a lot im sorry but i never actually saw a topic asking exactly what im asking.
Anyway i was wondering if you guys could do a simple re-skin of the SF marine to a Force Recon Marine and maybe add some kit or something to the model or w/e??
This is what i had in mind......

There are Marine Force Recon Marines in Afghanistan.

1. It's not "simple" to do anything that involves changing what you see in game. Modeling skinning in general, at least according to the powah's that be, is stupid hard.
2. Until we officially have a US Army and US Marine factions, the "SF" is considered to be all SF combined, not just force recon.

If you want to have that in-game you need a whole new model and skin. Different hat, etc.

Why do the US have lots of stupid BDUs, they should just stick to one like the Marine Marpat.
Why have ACU which is **** and these Tan BDUs when MARPAT is clearly better.

cuz the army is stupid
the marine corps is pretty much the only branch of the military that actually knows what they are doing.
the army always adopts the "newest thing", even when it is ****, and they stubbornly refuse to get rid of their old stuff.
the air force always gets rid of their old stuff, and gets new stuff often but nothing big.
the marine corps always uses what works the best.
don't kno much about the navy/cg

Actually marines don't get just good stuff. That in fact get a fairly high amount of shitty stuff, and get a good one every now and again. Its easier for them because they have a whooole lot less people to worry about fielding it too.
Generally the people that get the good stuff and a lot of it is the various SF groups. That's where pretty much everything we have today comes from, and a lot of the simple stuff you don't think about (gloves, elbow/knee pads, optics, lasers, body armor, etc)

It would be great to see the Marine Force Recon added to PR one day

Yep, this has been suggested before. If you had searched a bit more you would have come up with several posts by someone who suggested the same thing in just about every other thread he posted.
The current name of the class is "MSPF," which stands for Maritime Special Purpose Force. The MSPF is an element within a Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), which includes assets from divisional recon battalions and Marine Special Operations Battalions or Force Recon Companies, forming reconnaissance and direct-action platoons, and sometimes a SEAL Platoon that is attached to the MEU(SOC) or Expeditionary Strike Group. One of the reasons the sidearm is the P226 is to hint that they were possibly SEALs and we used the MSPF title to leave it ambiguous so the various Marine Recon and SEAL wannabes could pretend to be whichever they like and not bother us to make different models and skins for troops who perform almost all of the same jobs with almost all of the same equipment.
First and Second Force Recon Companies have cased their colors and been reformed as the First and Second Marine Special Operations Battalions under MARSOC (Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command). The future of the other Force Recon companies, one of them being part of the Marine Corps Reserve, is up in the air, as far as I know. I have not heard of plans for a 3rd MSOB, but perhaps one will become a forward deployed MSOC and the other a reserve MSOC suborned to one of the other two MSOBs.
