AFAIK,That isnt possible with the BF2engine.
The closest to that are the night vision goggles.
They can be found on Bi ming.

nope, i was actually looking for the video of that racing mod that had thermal vision on the DPV. i found this and it happened to be PR.

The vid is a test I made quite a while ago. The effect is simply a modified NV. Some textures were adjusted a little to make certain parts of the vehicles to glow some more.
And AFAIK theres no practical use for these (difficult to implement without problems). But feel free to have a go at making something useful out of these.

Besides, when you fire off the main gun in any tank when you're the gunner, you don't see any dust/smoke coming out in front of you. When you see it in third person, or from a different perspective, there's dust/smoke coming out in front of the tank. That gives it the illusion that the tanks have thermal to see through the dust/smoke. Well, that's what I think one of the devs said...

So if the view from a tank is with no smoke so as to say simulate thermal imaging (not thermal vision) cant you make the view black and white (not color as it is)? I know its not real solution, but.. hey.. you cant have everything
