i have searched this the forums and havent found anything on this so please no flaming

Looking at pictures of the war in afganistan and Iraq of the british army. I saw that they had Hand Held GPMG and MINIM. so i got the idea that why not have to Support groups, Heavy and Light, The heavy (GPMG)would have higher power but there would be less and light (MINIM) would be have a less damage but there would be more of them. Also for the US you could have for heavy M-204B and for light SAW.
the reason i saylight and heavy is that the GPMG firs 7.62mm round whereas the MINIM fires 5.56mm. I have done my research and i would like some feedback on what you think

So very, very suggested before.

And for the record, the MEC already have a 7.62x51mm support weapon, the HK21.

The problem with introducing the GPMG is the free hanging belt that they feed from in most cases. BF2 cant make it "feed" into the magazine (ie the belt gets shorter as the weapon is fired) and though the L7A2, does, iirc, have a "belt-bag" attachment point on it, the belt bags only hold 50 round and so arn't used very often.

locked.
