Squad-Kicking a Pilot should...

1) Give the pilot 10 seconds more to control the aircraft, so he can gain altitude for the parachute drop.

2) Only be possible if the pilot has been warned with an UI function that currently doesn't exist. (Is this hard-coded?)

3) Charge the squad leader with destroying the aircraft. (Is this possible?)

Another mysterious post

I wish you could write a little bit more about your ideas ;)

That's exactly what I want to hear - usually, I write too much while evading the question. Here, I've done the converse, writing too little while still hitting the question on the dot.
---
Anyway, I hear too many stories about someone getting squad-kicked in an A-10 or other fixed-wing aircraft and losing the aircraft, getting killed in descent, or both. Because of this, there should be a way to allow the pilot to prepare for his rude and violent landing and punish the guilty Squad Leader for wasting a billion-dollar piece of military hardware, while also giving the Squad Leader the opportunity to penalize that rogue pilot without destroying the equipment.

Well, if you're in an APC/tank and the SL kicks you, you won't die despite being squadless until you leave the vehicle, so why isn't it the same with aircraft?

When you get squad-kicked in an aircraft, the engine dies and you lose altitude instantly. By the time you figure out what went wrong, it's already too late to safely parachute; even if you survive, the plane crashes and explodes unless it had never taken off in the first place.

If you're squad-kicked in an APC/tank, the vehicle isn't going to fall out of the sky, and you'll have ample time to simply get out of the vehicle safely, as it shouldn't be moving anyway.

Yeah I reckon you should get away with it until you leave your plane or heli for whatever reason you might. It is pretty annoying to have people using your squad for kits and vehicles, as much as I'd love to keep the harsh punishment for these kinda people it's a waste of an air asset.

Hopefully it shouldn't be long before some basic squad specialisation is put in game, then stuff like this will hopefully be avoided all together.

Open to abuse? An SL might decide to have a go at a single player by throwing him out of the squad to cause them negative points say and get them kicked off the server?

Has one SL got the right to cripple their team with the loss of an aircraft like that when they only spawn every 15-20mins?

All SLs have their own rules! My rule is ASK if your not going to work with the squad! (getting in a A 10, Sniper rifle ect. If said person continues to use said kit or vehicle wthout a reply or resoning I kick them with warning tho (easiset way is to say im going to kick you within 30secs switch squads or be prepared to join another one!

Without disipline with kits/vehicles one will end up with a squad spread all over the map and no one working for the squads common objecitve.

Sometimes in pilot squad when the Sl doesn't get the only helicopter/plane, he choses to be a retarded *********, and kicks the guys who got the chopper/plane out of the squad so the plane/chopper goes down and the guy who the aircraft ges unished for it.

Just so the SL can get his precious aircraft.

Damn right! I hate being a merlin pilot and have the SL kick me because i would'nt let him fly and make him be a mobile spawn point.

I agree with all 3 suggestions, especially the last one.
Last week I was playing on a server and I was waiting a while for the SU-25 Crow, when it spawned I got in, but my squad leader asked for it, he didnt demand it, he asked, so, i thought hes a kind guy he'll understand. I took off, when i was at the end of the runway, about 100-150 meters off the ground, ERRRRRRR my engines stopped and i fell outta the sky. He kicked me from the squad because HE wanted the SU-25 that I waited for. People like that should be kicked then banned for that.

While we're on the topic....

I was playing EJOD on TB the other night with a buddy. We joined a 4/6 squad, and noticed there was a T90 up at MEC Main. I told my squad we were going to crew it, at which point we got an automated "Okay" from the SL. I don't think they spoke english. Anyway, I was gunning, my team mate driving, and we parked hull down over looking East City, and started kicking *** in full support of squads attacking it. I located a US Rally on the top of a nearby building, and right before I clicked the fire button, we were both kicked from the squad to make room for his clan mates, apparently. We both lose our Crewman kits, yet don't realize what's happening until its too late and the game kills us for occupying crewman positions, leaving our T90 totally useless in the middle of the game. REALLY pissed me off.

Also on the Russian Reality I got kicked off the server for getting the Cobra on Gulf of Oman. One of the most retarded things I have seen in PR and I never play on their server now.
I have seen some retarded stuff in PR aswell...

I was banned (i think i got permabanned actually) after saying that it sucks to play on their server since VOIP was desabled for some reason. The admin got pissed coz i've been wondering whats wrong with the VOIP on their server for the 2nd day and told me to go and find another server (i said that PR sucks without VOIP). So i said "I will after i die". Then he said something about me being dumb. And i said "Well, your not to bright you either...", and 5 sec later i saw: "BANNING!!!! Loco Waaah_Wah GO GO GO!"

It's a bit stupid to waste an air asset so I reckon there should be some other way of going about this.

Would there be any way for pilots that get kicked to get moved into a new squad? So when they are kicked it's coded for them to create (and maybe lock) a squad from their end without pressing anything?

There's a really easy solution.
Create a new 'A-10', 'Transport', 'LB' squad instead of joining 'pilot' squad and lock tit (if there's A-10 squad already and only one squad member, just keep asking for invitation, or create '2nd A10' named squad).
After all how much in common do A-10 and BH pilots have?

Creating appropriately named squads is a very good step towards teamwork play on public servers... CO can give out orders directly to every air vehicle without forcing 'pilot' squad leader to think who to talk to and waste his time, while he would safely lift people in his good old BH.

Exactly what I was going to say. A pilot is in most cases detrimental to the team if they are in a squad and not the squad leader, and even then they should only have squad members if they're spotting targets for them.

It's usualy better to have one pilot squad instead of three to prevent arguments.
