A idea of how to do Airborne Infantry.

Airborne Infantry:

Would it be possible to take the Command Post to another use by giving it an availability for 6-12 man to enter it by hitting E.

While your inside the Command Post you wont sit inside it you would sit inside a Hercules with a closed back door but the jump doors open, and as you sit inside it in a seat there will be a ambient sound in the background of propel engines with the sound of a Hercules.

To make the Hercules make a secound virtuel world and put the model of a Hercules frozen some where in that virtuel world for pepole to sit in.

While sitting inside a seat on a row of seats and one other row on the opersit side all the pepole in the commandpost will sit on each row looking at eachother.

To now deploy the Airborne use the call in function from the commander UAV to do this. What happens when he calls in the UAV is that you set with coding a starting point of a "Phys_ent" (witch would be a model of a Hercules) and an ending point wich would be where he deploys the UAV. Now the way the Pepole paracute out is that you time it so when the "Phys_ent" reaches the endpoint "Destroy Phys_ent" like in BF2 when the UAV times over, all the pepole in the "command post" gets spawned with a parachute high above the ground in the same hight you put the "Phys_ent" and from there freefall until the open the chute.

For the pepole inside the "Command Post" make it say in chat: Droping in: 10-1 or have an ambient voice do it like when you reload in a tank.

Airdrops like hummvee or supplys:

If you could the same thing when you call in an airdrop a model of a Hercules flys over that would be good for the realism.

not codeble in the way you discribe it

the game Joint Operations had in one coop map with a 'static' hercules, where when you spawned in, grabbed a kit with parachute and jumped out.

Can we have the rear end of the hercules as a static high up in the air with a spawn point in it to spawn on and jump into the map or do statics have to sit on something attached to the ground? It would have to be so high it is out of view distance, plus SL movement marker would be crucial to avoid parachutists not knowing the direction sail down from.

We had a map previously "Airport" with Brits vs MEC and before you took any cp's, everyone spawned in at a location in the air, everyone having to hit the parachute key within a few seconds or the ground met them. This was before the increased ceiling height and view distances though.

Yeah static planes have been seen in meny games. Another way done in BF1942 was to have a plane with an interval fly over the map and for the time while it was over the map you could spawn on it.
