[Weapon] RKG-3

RKG-3 is the designation of Russian series of anti-tank hand grenades.
The RKG-3M was used extensively during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

RKG-3 grenades have also been used by Iraqi insurgents against coalition forces. On 1 June 2006, RKG-3 grenades were used in an attack on an American Humvee,[1] and RKG-3 grenades have been captured by US Marines from insurgents in Al Anbar.[2]
RKG-3 grenades have been intercepted en-route to Palestinian forces in Gaza.

The way it works: RKG stands for Ruchnaya Kumulyativnaya Granata (Handheld Shaped Charge Grenade). When the pin is pulled and the grenade is thrown a four-panelled drogue parachute is deployed by a spring. This parachute stabilizes the grenade in flight and ensures that the grenade strikes the target at a 90 degree angle, maximising the effect of the shaped charge.

Thanks to yet an israeli friend that modelled it and textured it.
The things that need to be added is coding, animation and bumpmap.

Here is a pic of it

That is what i am hoping for :D just use the moltov cocktail code and then change the effect and damage radius and all. and voila

As far as I know, they aren't very effective, that is when they actually work in the first place. Should be fun to use though.

You could see the little parachute things in the video if you look. Would be a cool weapon for the insurgents.

I would love that the insurgents could get this i really hope the pr team accept this and thereafter start to code it and animate it.

And yes they are extremely effective they are the same as an shaped charge only you can throw it. instead of shooting it i think.

The Hamas, Militia and Insurgent factions all sound like suitable candidates for it.

If you can get a working example in-game with the help of other people in the Community Modding section, I'm sure the DEV team might consider using it.

(I'm not representing the team with that comment, it just seems that if the legwork is done and they're presented a well-working finished piece, they'd definitely look at its merits.)

the game is pretty balanced as it is, and if Militia, Hamas and Insurgents all get this new wonder weapon it might tip the balance - I could be wrong. I just think it numbers should be rather limited.

I think the DEV's have enough stuff to look at right now, so like Masaq said, if you can find people to help you finish it so you can demonstrate it for them they may consider using it..

imo if the insurgent ambusher gets 1 of these nades instead of the mine (pressure IED) it should be balanced

ambushers can work together to take down APCs/jeeps using these grenades

the British vs. Insurgency is balanced? yea right.

i loathe playing insurgents on basrah because i know it's so freakin boring have 2x warriors just camp inside VCP with rifleman/marksmen/snipers ontop with scopes just picking people off left and right. and just having to run around the city waiting for the Brits to get their balls together to move in is just as boring and unexciting.

not enough RPG's are present, and maybe as a way to balance that out, would be to give ambushers 1 or 2 of these type of nades. Maybe put them on the same dmg table as a slam since slams usually hurt apcs but not really tanks at all.

The problem about insurgency isn't that Brits have scoped rifles and insurgents don't. The problem is that insurgency isn't really insurgency it's combined with AAS and that's wrong. You can give the insurgents a nuclear bomb (lol) and it still won't be fun because the APCs will mostly stay away from the city (guess why).

anyway i think this would be a great replacement for the moltov cocktail just take it from that code and change the effects on it and maybe change the damage and the damage radius for it

There was an idea to give it to the ambusher along with the IED.

I know this will be a controversial idea, but I got the inspiration from the video posted above - and it will empose more tactics/teamwork and most of all caution (not just storming ahead - especially vs civilians)!

Give 1 of these to the civilian class. then the apc's cant drive around without infantry support to secure its path. And those stereotypical spec.ops. guys storming ahead with a knife everytime they see a civ.
by only giving them one they wont be storming ahead and just spamming nades, they will have to save it and try to get close to vehicles, and the infantry WILL have to help/defend/work together with their vehicles to maintain vehicle support - cause a vehicle cant battle civ's - at least not without getting penalties for the team. I can just imagine "riots" of civ's on basrah and UK will have to make a "wall" of men to arrest them. It can and will probably get messy!

Then again, its just an idea...
