I wonder if anyone can help. At certain times on the minimap, members of your own team are outlined in a red blob. (please stop me if I am getting too technical here)

Does anyone know what this means ?

if you are a medic, it means they have less than 50% hp. If you are a ammo guy, means they have less than 50% ammo.

its a vbf2 feature.

I was wondering about this also for a quite long time. And its not that someone is wounded or is talking in that time as some ppl suggested to me when I asked them ingame.

So Im waiting for an answer as well




EDIT: So if what you saying Rhino is true that means this thing is not too accurate or not accurate at all. Sometimes its displaying almost entire team with those bloobs. And when I asked them if they're wounded they are not, and couldn't possible used half of their ammo in 20 sec after spawning on rally and getting to rest of the squad without a firefight. I dunno

... Ok ... why did I not know that?

All Hail Rhino! And yes Rhino told the dumb vBF2 idea. i hate when it happens because osmetimes to stays after you change your kits.

yea its a vbf2 feature and its often quite buggy

I think the ammo blob appears as soon as the person has used any of his ammo, and is able to be resupplied. So if he shoots one bullet and reloads, you'll get the ammo blob.

Even if you don't reload the blob appears actually.

Nope, after you have used some of the ammo ( few mags, or all the frag grenades), then it pops up.

Bad side of the red blob around the dot on the map is the fact, that it works on enemies. Whenever I shoot an enemy as Medic, I check the map, if there's a read blob around him, means he is wounded.
