Last night I tryed to start ABR and it didn't work. I got those warning messages instead of mod list. Then I joined Thors brigade and nobody had ranks offcourse. I turned off ABR (which wasn't working anyway) and went to 10th mouintain brigade server where everybody had ranks including me. I was stunned that I had my rank and I wasn't running ABR in that moment. One of the 10th brigade members (Totalwerguneid or so) explaned that thier server runs ABR for the players if they only started it once.

How is that possible? I checked my stats on gloryhoundz and thier are changed since last night so it means that my performance was acctualy recorded.

I've never used ABR client and i've got a rank of Colonel in ABR... AFAIK when the server is running ABR correctly your stats are recorded. It has nothing to do with the ABR client you run on your PC. Unless someone can correct me.

To clarify, just having or not having the ABR client running makes absolutely no difference on whether the server runs ABR or if your stats are recorded. The only thing the ABR client did is stop you getting tons of promotions everytime you joined a server.

I never ran it and I am on 300K and a Colonel. But afaik the ABR is FUBAR anyway at the moment. According to my stats I haven't played since 30th Oct which is BS.

i've heard alot about ABR and í think im gonna start using it. Could someone just plz tell me where to download it. Thanks

ABR has been messing around lately, I play daily and yet I've been MIA for over 4 days last I checked...

Really I could care less about rankings, I just like to keep track of my all-time stats....

abr has "choked" bout 5000kills in the last 3 months, but hey ive about 200 good conduct medals,200 basic assault badges, 200 basic antitank badges, 200 basic medic...

Seems about right... you get a badge/ribbon/medal every stinking round lol...

Ever since I got stuck at Master Gunnery Sergeant with 175k+ points and all necessary ribbons/medals and shit I've been wishing for somebody to just put ABR out of its misery. Let's just kill it and be done with points, ranks, and medals. Me being stuck and never getting the right rank and my resulting frustration actually kind of woke me up to the fact none of it matters. Even players with Colonel ranks often act like total smacktards and don't support their team, while others with lower in-game ranks formed the teamworking backbone of a good team.

So to sum it all up: KILL ABR! REMOVE RANKS AND POINTS ALTOGETHER BECAUSE PROJECT REALITY DOES NOT NEED THEM!

for some reason, a while ago i my rank was not recording (although i got about 2 promotions every time i joined and my stats recorded)

i then started using ABR client, and it fixed it


now we have the prob of stats not recording full stop, either the fact is that servers are now not running ABR and i just havent played on one in a while, or the problem still exists

are stats recording again?

My stats have not been updating for the past month or so. If I start PR with ABR activated I get stuck at the "Logging into account server" stage, often while completely losing control of my PC, as in not even CTRL+ALT+DEL will get me out of that mess. If I want to be able to use my PC again, I have to restart my PC, modify the "HOSTS" file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC by deleting the ***gamespy.com line.

Whenever I start ABR again, I have to repeat the whole thing since I will get stuck at "Logging into authentication server" again

I absolutely agree with the previous post.I have the same thing and many others also do.
And yes,ABR is not working at all

Death to ABR honestly - do I really need to know how many shock paddle kills I got like 2 years ago... and some phony version of a PHONY nilla rank.. hah

Its the most transparent colonel rank ever...

Ranks are worthless to me - Points are only good for comparing one round.
Stat tracking... Thats something I like, I like to know my overall K/D ratio and how accurate I am - UNFORTUNATELY ABR is a hassle and only is on a few select servers.

I remember hearing something about re-directing your stat tracking back to your BFHQ or something to keep track of stats locally.... Don't remember if its possible.
