Don't fret, it's all being prepared! The UGL will possibly be with the assault class, carbine may also take over the shotgun for the engineer, and there may even be the choice between the minimi and the LSW!

it is only issued to tank crews, it fits behind their seat better or something. i guess they might issue it to heli crews also. i wouldnt want to eject into a shitty dessert with 50 nasty looking men with guna coming towards me, and all i'd have is a pistol lol.u'd only need one bullet, for you head.

It was, mostly to IFV's, but this weapon is used as a last resort defensive means. CQB in urban areas can go wrong at any time, and if you have to scuttle your vehicle, you may have to hold out against any number of threats before help arrives.

I thought it was, Not sure if it should be put in, like rhino said only a few were made

i don't see why it cant be made. you don't see a great deal of people running around with jackhammers in the US army, so they're shouldn't be a problem with this.

True, But what kit would you add it to. Pilots maybe, anyone else

add it to the engineer kit. the MP-7 is on SF. and the sa80 carbine would be cooler than that.

Yeah but engineers normally use standard SA80. Wouldnt do any harm to give them to engineers, they probably use carbine as well

hmm well if i was an engineer id rather have a sa80 carbine than a jackhammer or a shotgun. you might want something smaller than a SA80, all those mines and spanners in your bag. I dunoo, it'll be cool.

They expect it to come into service with tank crews this year, but from what i have read they were also considering it for the REME and the Medical Corps.
Supposedly the Royal Marines Fleet Protection Group used some of the older prototype carbines that looked like a "baby" L85A1.
The designation for the carbine is the L22A1 and it looks just a little bit different from the prototype shown in the first thread.
