IEDs?

i'm sure most of the people here have seen my "IEDs? what IEDs"
that thread focused on giving IEDs more power to make them more fearsome, now this suggestion could be interpreted as either a supplement to the BIG, ambusher IEDs or just a general insurgent suggestion.
my suggestion is to let the ambusher keep their big anti-vehicle IEDs, but give EVERY insurgent class (excluding civilians) a small light anti-personnel IED.
since in reality insurgents outnumber the coalition, and PR has even teams that we would need to add more IEDs to the field without everyone running around with a saigia.
the "light IEDs" would not be able to disable heavy vehicles, or even blow up a landrover, however these would be deadly to exposed vehicle crews or cache hunting squads deep in the alleyways of al-basrah.
but as of now, as i stated earlier the average person worries about IEDs about as much as they worry about being killed by a rock wielding civilian.
do the math...
if we have a 64 player game
32 insurgents, 32 coalition
say on average
6 civilians
5 ambushers
10 Insurgents/War vets
11 Pick-up kits
15% of the team is ambushers, and only 1-2 actually have IEDs placed
the brits have an extremely low chance of hitting an IED unless they're really stupid and have developed a predictable route.
now if EVERYONE (except the 6 civies) had an IED (be it light or heavy) don't you think you would think twice before approaching that cache in the middle of the city?
the fact is, remote detonated ordinance adds a new dimension and allows an insurgent to be in 2 places at once, which is good when in reality the insurgents outnumber the coalition by so much.
thanks for reading!
