Yes this is a known bug. It also happens to me while running at 1280x800.

you cheater, jk i have the same problem here with my widescreen.

not much you can do about it, battlefield doesn't support widescreen..
well i have read somewhere that you can change your screen size by messing with the goal and path on the shortcut however i have no idea how..
also when i switch to the binocular i see really fast the side of the 'image'
but when the animation done its all okey

Right click on the BF2/PR icon go to properties, under "Target:" modify the line to look like this:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr_0 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 800

Click "OK" and you're finished.

Note that the "1280 +szy 800" can be any desired resolution you want(within the capabilities of your monitor).
