Just to go on my little bit about mobile spawn points again. Looking in the Object editor i saw that you can add spawn points to objects like Planes ect. Im not sure how excatly this works i aint played with it yet but im pretty sure it would be possibal to get ppl to spawn inside 1 of these transport planes that was flying arround the map following a AI path. then when ppl where happy that they wanted to bail out they just pushed "e" or what ever and bail out the plane over where abouts it was when they pushed "e"

If any of you have played POE for BFv its very simmualr. Diffrence would be that its a diffrent plane, and im thinking that maby you could somhow get it to drop Supplie Crates and maby some small Buggys from it, on shutes ofcorse

Image

That bit could take a hell of alot of codeing to do and im not excatly sure how you would do that bit, but you could allways do the bit where it magicly appreas from the sky and just claim it came from that plane

any ways what u all think

Hercules is something being pushed into production due to its versatility. i do not belive thta having it flown on an AI path would be as good as having it flown by a human, especially if we do mnage to code in the dropping of Humvees or landy's!

Something else to think about is that the only class to have chutes are Special Forces, which mean everyone else would make pretty red patterns on the ground while hopelessly battering their '9' button :P

We may have certain maps with either the Marines, or SAS as the army, who will all be fitted with a one time use parachute.

yeah id much rather fly it than have it on an ai path. This means the plane could drop passengers exactly where they wanted to go and avoid anti air guns

Wouldnt the herculas fly above the range of anti air guns? But I suppose a player controlled is more fun.

I live with in 20 miles of RAF lynham one of the few remaining Hercy bird bases if not the last (i think some one told me.)

I would prefer human pilot.

one time use parachute - brilliant idea.

If this mod delivers what it promises it'll be great.

One time chutes are an exelent idea

Perhaps we could have a specific "para's" class to be acomodated in to the map.

Or just base the map around the premise that the units involved are of the parachute regiment. How hard can it be to give them the para flashes and a red beret.

yeah, that would be the easiest way

Properly in scale, a C-130 would be fucking huge and may even be too big for the game. For an example, this is how big a full scale CH-53, which will eventually be in-game, would be compared to people and light vehicles in the game:

That's a USMC Interim Fast Attack Vehicle (based on the Mercedes G-Wagen), for those who are wondering.

Here is a picture of a C-130, three CH-53Es and 4 HMMWVs.

Thats more a temporary fix from what i hear, if there were maps featureing Paras, 82nd AB, SAS, etc etc then chutes would be on all most classes if it was an airborne maps.

Maybe have units start with no chute, but have it replenish a one-time chute when they board an aircraft ?

Interesting but i'm not sure that you can have somthing added to your person when you enter a vehicle unless it was and empty weapon that was rearmed only inside a herc and no from suplies that might work.

DEV's??

i would like to see it placed in, but like eddie said, it would take up an entire runway! It's Huge!
