[Effects] River Rapids effect

Here is a effect I've been working on for a little river running down Qinling. Still very much WIP thou hope you like it, video is also a little old now
I've already fixed some bits, don't look so bad while swimming though the rapid now, and for any one who asks is it possible to sweep people down river, the answer is most likely not, but even if it is possible it is far too much work to make it worth it and it would be probaly very buggy at the end of it too. Also ignore the lag, my PC was running the editor before and recoding at full rez, needed a restart
EDIT: v2 of my River Rapids, also showing off a little white water rafting
Sound Vol has been tweaked since the vid

Looks fantastic. Adds so much more depth (pun) to the water.
A shame you can't get a nice ride down the river, I would've thought it could be possible with some kind of friction setting... but I guess that would only apply if the soldier's feet were on the ground... and everywhere else on the map instead of water-specific.
Even then, I am still curious if you are able to make this affect on a curvy river instead of something straight? (eg, would the 'flowing' effect curve, instead of move in a straight path -- so if you had a curvy river, it would follow the curve, instead of going straight and seemingly 'underneath' the terrain).

Nice water man. That is pretty awesome.
Also, love the more reasonable recoil.

I wish we had a cloning machine that created clones with an hour long lifespan so they would'nt overtake the real rhino after they found out they were clones like in that one movie (i'm totally making up/Saw on sci-fi lastweek)

Peta has been notified and will be burning down your house or just your mailbox, depending on the age of the rhino in question.

That looks gorgeous, and sounds gorgeous too.
What I will say though Rhino is that it really should be on a bending, twisting river if it's possible to get the effect to travel "in curves" (if that makes any sense).
You rarely find that a fast-flowing river travels in a canal-straight path for very long; the speed of the flow means the river cuts its way through the landscape much quicker than a slowly flowing, larger, river. This means that they follow the seam of softest rock/ground down, which rarely has a dead-straight path to it.
It looks stunning, but at the same time it looks very artificial. If immersion is the goal, that river needs some twists and curves in it to feel like a naturally occuring flow.
Hope that's constructive and doesn't seem like I'm panning it, because I'm really not - it does look top-notch, from a technical/effects level.
