....I'm waiting for a job to get laminated. The guy looks at me and says "Is this the front cover?"

...and I reply in a loud voice, "Negative!"

I always ask myself what would it be like if the surrounding area was a PR map? And then think about ways to clear it if I were assaulting or trying to find good spots for defending.
This signature is here due to lack of imagination.

When I see planes or helicopters flying I try to spot them... or shoot them down.

I'm scared to go on bridges because I think some insurgents will blow it up while I go on it...

Lol

I'm always replying "roger" or "negative"

I often talk in radio chatter (um, roger that, move just left of the intersection and the target building building should be in sight" or "Come in, i am moving to the extraction zone, what's your position, over")

Whenever i see something about Iraq on TV, or anywhere in general, i always think "wow, that should really be a PR map"

Anytime i see, hear, or read something about fastropes i immediately think "that's hardcoded!"

I'm always wondering what the fog and draw distance IRL is

A clan mate while commuting home one day heard a helicopter above and looked around his car for the .50.

... these are the signs.. you guys need to cut down on your PR playing... I have however had the same kind of experiences... but that was during my real life military service...

"The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."

Our neighbor's jeep sounds like the British jeeps; when I hear them I want to go get my RPG out of the closet.

I volunteer with SJA, and we often use not only both our radio net but when we're working with the ambulance service, theirs too. It's not so much that PR spills over into first aiding, it's more that first aid spills into PR.

I've responded to radio checks with "5 and 5", I've use callsigns for tanks and aircraft (and then prefixed every call with them), I've finished a radio message as Commander with "Received and understood, Control standing by", I've ended a string of radio messages with "over" and basically sounded waaaaaay too involved in the game.

Thanks to SJA and PR I've also done a couple of them over the phone as well - "Mum, this is Alex, are you receiving me over?" was how one memorable phone call back to my folks started. I also ended a call to a girlfriend once with "Love you, control standing by". (That was weird).

"That's how it starts, Mas, with that warm happy feeling inside. Pretty soon you're rocking in the corner, a full grown dog addict, wondering where your next St Bernand is coming from..." - IAJTHOMAS
"Did they say what he's angry about?" asked Annette Mitchell, 77, of the district, stranded after seeing a double feature of "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism." - Washington Post
