ok so i know in .7 the spec ops will be a requestable class. but what i dont know is what will happen to the spec ops class now that there will be both a US army and marines? do the marines have a special forces? it looks like the current USMC spec ops is a navy seal or something. will both factions spec ops class look the same? like same model just different camos? and finally what will theyre loadouts be like?

Well obviously they will come loaded with a big rocket launcher... like the one from GunZ...

A sword with bigger reach than the knives...

The only real difference is when you go prone as USMC special ops is you will duplicate into four holographic men and rotate between them, and the US army spec ops will have laser beam eyes...

Honestly.... I don't even know the RL difference between USMC and the army other than one hits the front line.... and the standard issue rifles....

I suppose since the USMC / US army rarely have special ops operating with them as far as I know... that they will be similar or the same in standard rifle..

Camo wise I think the factions *may* vary if the DEVs feel they use different camo ... no clue here...

Loadouts are probally going to be the same for all factions... just a guess...

Well they both use nearly the same equipment so yeah it should be the same.

Oh and last i heard Special Forces get to choose what gun to have. Aka M4, M16, AK47 in rare cases, Etc.

(God i would love to have an AK47 as Spec ops :D Maybe for Mec? To replace that shitty hk53a3, Worst weapon in PR!)

ok guys theres ALOT of differences between usmc and army. different camo, different gear, different vehicles, different roles although that line is starting to get blurred these days. also the army has special forces of its own, the rangers and the delta, um maybe green berets too? as far as marines im still not 100 percent sure if they have theyre own special forces or not. anyone know?

The current USMC SF class "MSPF" Stands for Maritime Special Purpose Forces, which covers all the SF units that may be attached to the Marines while on operations, including SEALs and Marine Force Recon, as well as a couple of others, in all probubilty.

Its deliberately left ambiguos so you can pretend to be whatever brand of alphabet soup uber1337SF you want to be.

True... youll be given essentially a shop of weapons, depending on various aspects of your mission and the unit you're depends on the types of weaponery and gear you can request from the Quartermaster.
It also cuts both ways and when it hits the fan you can end up like an SAS unit Bravo 2-0 wandering through an Iraqi desert with claymore mines made from Ice cream tubs.

OOoooo SAS class? chechnyan rebels? Iranian Embassay siege :D (if we can get ir PRed properly the map should only last about 8 minutes :P )

Actually Bob, Maritime Special Forces is an actual role/unit/MOS. Not amibguous at all.

USMC Force Recon are not considered Special Forces, largely because of a bureaucratic decision that didnt want to make any marine more special than another and thus left the Force Recon units out of USSOCOM.

US Army has an assload of Special Operations units, from the Rangers, Green Berets, PsyOps, 1st SFOD-D, 160th SOAR, and more.

The Marine Corps has MARSOC now which is a part of SOCOM. There are still some Recon teams or battalions or whatever around, but I think the 2nd Recon whatever was disbanded and went into making MARSOC.
