Crouching in a different way

I know the answer but need to ask. Is it possible when you are over something with your rifle e.g. a sandbag and you crouch, when doing that your rifle shaft hits the top of the sandbag and you position like that instead of how it is now you crouch and you get behind the sandbag not being able to see or shoot. Is it possible, requires allot of work, bugs and animation?

just means youre short
+1 for this one, I can't count the amount of walls/sandbags I've tried to crouch behind and shoot over, only to find my face splatted straight into the wall my my gun going through it. So the result is having to stand up and expose most of your body when you shoot and when you crouch because youre being shot at, you'll die because your head is just high enough to give the enemy headshots

Red Orchestra has a system like this, i doubt it would work in BF2 though, unless you changed the size of the sandbag model.

It would make sense to reduce the height of your average sandbag, as right now the majority you crouch behind just make the top of your head a juicy target for an enemy rifleman.

Good idea, if they could get it to work like red orchestra.
In that you were crouched low when you had your weapon at the hip but you raised up a little when you brought the sights up.
Don't know if this is possible with the bf2 engine though

Well the most obvious and easiest to change is models of objects height...
That seems to be already in progress with roof walls and sandbags...
Now to actually "use" it for cover, don't know if its possible in the engine, AND IF IT IS, it takes ANIMATORS and godly CODERS something that are hard to come by from what I have heard
