does the m16 really sound like the ones used in project reality because to me it seems just like the vanilla sound with a bit more of a punch.

I really don't think the current 50 cal. sounds really do it justice, right now the PKM sounds far more menacing, the 50 cal. should be LOUD and deadly.

I agree, it sounds like a loud rifle round, not a small cannon. It could use some serious noise.

You can't accurately replicate a .50 cal weapon in game.
Why?
Because you'd go deaf. Many times after the fights we'd be screaming at each other and have no idea we were doing it until we got back on the FOB or patrol base and someone told us.

50. cal should sound like the ones from GRAW 2. When ever someone uses it, everybody on the map wants to kill him, just to end all the darn noise...

Actually that's what happens in PR, only it's because the gunner is a perfect target for the riflemen to snipe.

actually i think the 50 cal is one of the coolest sounds in pr though i can try to make one myself

Mr smith was shot i the leg and was ok though he got shot in the leg!

It was an AK bullet though so cant really assume he was ok, it was his lower leg at least
The 50 cal sound is one of the first things in PR I thought was totally awesome. I agree its not quite like in the video but its an order of magnititude greater then the stock bf2 sounds and that applies overall pretty much

video camera is too close to the 50cal. Bad reference. I always thought our 50cal sound was really good. Of course everything needs to be louder but it's very hard to get realistic dynamic range in a game with regards to gunshots.

Yea, if we wanted to make it realistic to hear a .50 cal up close, then look forward to having your speakers or headphones blowing your eardrums out. I like our PR .50 cal as it is.
