Basra can be like it old self, with (comming soon) tanks, APCs, attack helicopters, transport helicopters,(my suggestion) and 2 or 3 Ground attack jets

the SEPECAT Jaguar!!!!
it can hold 2 Sidewinders(or Magics) on the wings, 2 dumb bombs under it, 2 rocket pods on the outside, and 2 sets of LGMs next to the rocket pods, with room for fuel tanks(static)
and of course, the guuns together, will act as 1 affective gun(about as much as the SU-25s)

this will be the British ground attack jet for Basra, and any other maps with Desert Combat with MEC(since the Brits cant just fight in 1 middle east city and all over china)

Basrah worked fine with jets in 0.5. But then again AFAIK there was no cashes involved

It didnt work. Basrah in .5 sucked for the INS as it was just a huge arse rape by A10s and Cobras. With jets or attack choppers it would be find general location of cache, bomb the area a few times and no more cache.

I didnt think it was overkill, unless I was in a T-72, I was never killed by an A-10 in 0.5, NEVER, literally, NEVER killed by an A-10 unless i was in a tank, and since the T72s are gone, I see no problem, also

Afaik has been suggested already, or at least discussed in the "0.5 basrah was better" threads. But I agree, the word moron was not needed at all...

Bombing the area may work, but would be unbalanced because of the caches and would kill a lot of civilians. That would mean the insurgents would, if a cache has been spotted, just put some civilians in the open area around and the guy in the A-10 would be kicked for negative score after the first attack.

Not only that, the Jaguar isn't in use anymore and hasn't been in use for a while. It has been replaced by the Eurofighter (the role you want it to preform is done by the Harrier or the Typhon). USE AN INTERNET RESOURCE

Plus, the discussion of aircraft in Bashra has been in discussion from the beginnings of its conception. USE SEARCH

1. Friendly fire is not funny, in any form. Especially when you suggest its only caused by Americans. This is unacceptable according to the forum rules. Desist imediately.

2. The SPECAT Jaguar is out of service.

3. The British ground attack jet is to the the BAE/McDonell Douglas Harrier II (RAF designation: GR. 9)

4. The inclusion of jets and/or attack helicopters has not only been suggested before, it happened before. In light of past experience they have been removed for gameplay issues.
