Well, there's also this.

I don't know that the devs would go through the trouble to come up with a civilian icon, add it to the mod, take a screen shot, and add that to the wiki just to dupe us all into thinking we'd still have our civvies if they were going to be removed. But what do I know, I'm just some guy on the internet.

Wow, thats new. Maybe its going to be limited? Maybe even for the brits... who knows.
But then again... i already see the city being blown away because noone cares about the score anymore.
And with THIS scout kit, i already see everyone using it instead of insurgent or war vet. AK plus super leet hook.
I remember a Dev or Pub or something saying they have something new and "you may like it or not" when asked about how arresting will work in 0.7

Could be map dependent.
We could still have civies on Basrah, but not on Helmand or something.
Also like the SKS instead of Saiga for Ambusher.

don't jump into conclusions...
And if you want to keep informed about the new features of v7 then just read the PR Dev Journal. That's what it is for. Most things you're imagining on this post based on some pics, are explained on the Journal's threads.

You know what i was just thinking? If the scout is gonna replace the civi on some maps. Then he will be as overpowered as the insurgent was in .5! Come on grapple, ak, and field dress?

I would rather have sandbags in the middle of the T rose for ease of use sake.

Maybe the civie kit will be a limited kit you know to simulate them giving up and then maybe starting there own mini-mart and hand out coupons instead of field dressings. Just throwing out some ideas.

The Soflam looks to be how I thought It should be.
I was think this for Mortars primarily, Have a Marker be set down that is visible across the map, then the Mortars can aim for bering and range based on the markers direction and distance.

I hate the word retreat. I doubt many armies would say it in real life too.
How about fallback instead maybe? Sounds less cowardly and more tactical?

i think civis should only be on city insurgentcy maps, on al other maps with AASv2 and Insurgents, there is no need for civis

IMO, civis need to be on every insurgent map. Not only do they make up for the lack of inferior weapons and equipment and can make the other team lose tickets if they are killed, but they also have a load of field dressings. Since there is no insurgent medic, what would the insurgents do without the field dressings?

i think we should rather bring back a doctor on these maps as a pickup kit, with just a pistol, perhaps one smoke or one frag and some dressings
