MP (Military Police) Class

I searched both MP and Military Police and didn't find anything.
I think it'd be cool to have, only in,mainly, urban maps, with large populations (like Al Basrah) an MP class available. They could be armed with a Tear Gas launcher/M203,club/nightstick,possibly a riot shield, gas mask, and SMG (MP5).This class should only be available in Insurgency game modes I think, where there are actually civilians.
Advantages:
1.They'd have a tear gas launcher, and could rush in with gas masks on and arrest civies. This could be an option instead of using flashes, where sometimes,it blind the thrower.
2.The more classes the marrier!
Disadvantages:
I don't really know, except, taking up more space on our hard drives, and taking up more of the Devs. time...

um i dont think mps get involved in much direct combat, and if you were an mp you wouldnt live more than 10 seconds considering you would be such an easy target. i mean your talking AKS versus a tear gas and billy clubs?

I'd still like to see gas masks and teargas introduced, mainly because i like indirect fire and gasmasks look badass.

That about sums up this thread.

now wait wait, this is a good idea a kit were someone could shot a civie with rubber bullets incapcating them but having a small arm i.e a MP5 with a few mags to defened them from the insurgents. A roit shild could be used as well to defend from rocks.
have it a limited kit and say if one get killed the brits lose 10 tickets

The idea of a non-lethal weaponry for Insurgent maps has been discussed and suggested before.
Realistically, Military Police would not be deployed on the frontline to conduct such a task. Ordinary Marines and Soldiers would probably have access to the non-lethal weapons (In fact aren't many of them issued tazers nowadays?).

But I see videos, and know people that are MP in Iraq that are out with troops and cover crowd control and rioting. If the Grenadier kit recieved this,it'd be helpful to have a gas mask also,to rush in with...But limiting the kit, that's like limiting the civie class...

Airforce Security Forces are the people doing Convoy security details. I'm pretty sure that's frontline combat duty.
Army MP's are going out to the IED crime scenes as well as busting down doors on terrorist houses. I'm pretty sure that's direct frontline combat.
however, i think the class would see limited use in the sense of PR gameplay because it's more army's vs. army's, whereas MPs/SF are more base defense/security details.

Like i said already, replace the Spec Op with this class. Dont call it a MP if thats wrong, call it somewhat else. I like the idea of having something less than lethal against insurgents with a lot of civs. Limited of course. Pistol or SMG, bangs, and a less lethal weapon, be it less lethal ammo or cs gas, doesnt matter. Just something that wont kill civs but can stop insurgents so the squad members are able to take them out or, rather arrest them.
Of course only if thats any realistic. But from a gameplay perspective i liked the idea.

lets see US Army or an MP class.....
I think i would prefer to see the US army

Well, if its really just an MP5 and a gas nade launcher, it wont take so much time.
SF model, maybe some texture changes, but a placeholder is enough, launcher from vanilla, MP5 from vanilla (well, with more damage, okay). The US Army is much much much more work.

Exactly Spec Operator...
And NEVER remove the Spec Ops. kit for this...I love it to much...But this would be a nie additional class/requestable kit.

This idea is, to put it midly, retarded.
Yes MP are 'on the front lines' so to speak in Iraq.
They are equiped, minus the nice patrol vehicle they have, exactly like everyone else. M4/16's, M249's, M203's, etc. They don't carry 'riot' gear. Everyone detains civilians. Between hitting them with your fist/weapon, nerf 203 rounds, rubber shot gun bullets, we have lots of options available.

I wouldnt call the class MP anyway. I'd rather have the SpecOps being SPECialised as LTL-guy against civilians. Call him regular soldier with less than lethal equipment or whatever.

MP with M249's...Oh,you're killing me with that one

.You'd know right, when you have freinds in MP,in Iraq?
Oh,and thanks for the kind, retarded note! This forum is hasty these days.

It's not like in an Infantry Squad, there's gonna be an MP who looks like he/she belongs on a SWAT team available. MPs have their own assignments and missions, but they usually don't consist of assaulting an enemy position in a large scale operation.
Also, MPs are indeed armed with regular gear. Just check out the site.

Yes, I do dumbass. I've also worked with them out of FOB Rustimiyah just outside of Sadr City. They mostly stuck to high value convoy escorts and route clearance missions. Their vehicle, the M1117, is a pretty kick *** APC that we all kind of wish we had at the time.
So, what's your experience with MP's in combat hm?

Further spouts of name-calling will not be tolerated, so call it quits Kenwayy.

Well, this is probably for good reason.
The idea is quite bottom of the list for a few reasons:
A) There is so much more to do.
B) Its affects will be minimal.
C) It would probably be out of place and wouldn't coincide with the portrayal of modern combat PR depicts.
...mongol...
