Leaving boats

Dont beat me, i searched and i know its not really very important, but it annoyed me:
I saw in other mods (that pirate or battleship stuff and things like that) already i think - when you leave a boat, could the player please spawn ON the boat and not next to it? Yes, that would look funny in a full manned boat, but at least the player would be able to leave the boat like a real guy and wouldnt have to swim around...
Lock it if its stupid.

I like this idea ... and i don't think it would be that hard one of the seats spawns you on the boat.

yeah i like the idea too. it would make boarding docks actualy possible instead of having to swim around it

I like it. Only thing I can think of is 1. TKs from morons jumping ouit while its in move and 2. When people disembark from RIBs they generally hop right over the infalted tube.

when you get out of a boat like a RHIB you jump out of the side, and yes if there is water there you jump into it.
there is also the problem of being tked by the boat moving.

Well, about the teamkilling - yea, get this point. Maybe making it impossible to "teamkill" with boats, i mean the score. It doesnt happen often that a teamkiller really tries to kill a swimming guy with a boat, so teamkill with boat -> no negative score could be a solution.
Hmm... about the other thing: Well, people can still jump in the water from the boat^^
But yea, i see the problems.

it is impossible to stop a moving object from killing a player, even if you set the materail to do no damage to players it still will cos of the BF2 engine, its just glitch... then theres also having to bunny hop out of the boat in the first place into the water, when you can just start there in the first place, as the first time you jump you are most likly going to get stuck, so you are going to have to jump 3 or 4 times before getting out which will look really retarded.

I didnt mean stopping the boat from killing you, just stopping the driver from getting a negative score.
And yea, i understand the problems. But it was worth the try
Edit: I tried it and was always able to leave the boat with one jump.

If you stop boats from TKing then when people actually TK with boats it wouldn't count.
The current system isn't great, but its what works without making gameplay fricking nuts. Just realize you're going to go into the water, and don't jump out when you don't want to be out. Better than being dead.

What about those boats in BF2 pirates? From what ive heard, you can walk on them and drive them around without dying

Can we have it so that if you get the RHIB right next to the tie off point (whats it called?) on a dock is it possible to make it give it coding so when close to it and you get out you spawn on that?
Or to extend the spawn point further off to the side so when your close to a land mass troops will jump onto that instead of the water.
