now that we got a map with jets and choppers and the fixed AA as well, will the chopper spawn time be decreased? because the chance you die is alot higher now.

I vote no, because if the spawn times will be shorter it will be like this:

'No! AA 12 o' clock'
*Pilot Turns*
'Ah, we're hit!'
*BOOM*
*After 30+ seconds they're back at base*
'Hey, let's get the next chopper, it's only 5 min'

It would encourage careless flying and would promote wasting assets.

no one said it would be 5 min now the respawn time is 20min it could be made 15 or so.. and a agree you need to be more careful with the choppers, but the jets will have a big advantage on the choppers because they are fast and can lock on with less then a second. but we will see how its works out.

Don't get shot down and you don't have to worry about spawn times.

Jets do have an advantage. If you don't like it start flying jets instead.

No, the spawn times work due to acting like the side is getting a new pilot moved to there base and not just a dumb foot soldier hoping in a plane.

in "asset based maps" like qinling you may find that some assets spawn faster than they normally would to simulate more of them being avalibial to a side.

all of you who say "dont get hit then" come fly a stupid chopper and il chase u in an aa vehicle and see how long you last... if you get locked-on youre screwed.

As a pilot your job is to not go near the AA vehicles. They are bad for you and your passengers. Reducing the spawn time on aircraft just means people have less incentive to protect these assets, because they will become available in less time.

we dont know exactly what to worry about, well, unless youre a tester. so I dont atleast.
but I could figure its gonna be a real pain in a helo if you aint got a special operations guy painting the targets
( I strongly doubt they will, after all, what sort of player uses that kit now? exactly)
because as Ive understood, if the target hasnt been paintet the pilot has to move close into viewrange for the gunner, since his tvmissile will be like that of the vBF2 F15.. no flightcamera, just klick and adjust.
I cant see the helo win that.
but then again there plenty of hills and trees on quinling.. wish the apachelongbow got a radar like IRL, a uav code based sort of thingy which only shows vehicles.. then it could rise up from behind the hill so only the radar sticks out and gets targets to show up, coordinate with gunner, blow the threat off the map. patientsneakyghostlikekillahstealthstyle

^ hardcoded/impossible = not going to happen :[ + its not realistic because then everyone on the map will see the ''radar''. but what i will like too see is a sort of marker around amour/cars and other head sources including friendly's and then lock on it - if this is possible then we have our radar :-D . RL attack choppers don't need someone on the ground with a soflam
just a heat source.. atleast if am right.. :mrgreen:

as far as i know the radar gos around the chopper no need to aim for the radar..

the UAV is hardcoded as far a i know, you can only include the whole uav, Which shows everything regardless of vehicle or man.
