HI
Love the mod.
Cant go back to vanila BF2. Really looking forward to V3 and new maps!
Anyway, thought for sure there would be a post about the write up in PC Gamer this edition (February). It is in the other room, so I cant recall what page it is on but a nice PR piece.
Hopefully will draw more players.
Great job PRMM team! Thanks for all the great work!.

Ok.. I got to know.. Vanilla BF2 is just the orignal right? Where did this 'Vanilla' come from? ... I did a search on EA's forum but only came up with people saying it.. nothing pointed to it's orignal founding.

Vanilla is a term for normal bf2!! its like Plain Good old vanilla Ice cream. BORING!!!

Yea, anytime anyone says 'vanilla' on a forums or whatever, all they mean is the actual game that was release. Your playing PRMM, but the actual BF2 is the vanilla.
Hope that makes sense

I had heard it used when BF1942 was released, where you had 'vanilla Battlefield' and non-vanilla (or modded). Dunno where the ice cream affiliation came from, but it makes sense as vanilla is one of the base flavors of ice cream, most things added to vanilla usually make it 'better' before making it worse. I guess

I thought it was in the magazine "Computer Games"

I've used it since BF1942, the first time I heard it was in the Tribes community.

Yeah. Requiem is right.
I get all three main gaming mags. and got the name confused.
Computer Games (Feb) not PC Gamer.
Anyway, good to see it there.

Just too bad we don't have that magazine here in Holland..... Somebody scan the piece! I must read it!

Agreed, someone scan the mag!

Well...I think scanning it would be bad for the magazine. Because then no one will have to buy it to see the ad. Thus causing the mag. to lose sales.
I think you should all buy it if you havn't already. Wolf, someone could always buy it for you, then mail it to you. Or you could order it online and have it mailed to you.
I think the point in (or agreement) having Project Reality in the magazine is an attempt to increase sales for the mag. and downloads for PR...Correct me if im wrong but, isn't that how business is done?

Well, if somebody is willing to go out, buy the feb edition of computer Games magazine, and send it over to the UK, (ill pay of course in full, plus an extra $5 for your time) then just send me a PM!

well someone could always just scan it, and then send it to the PR devs only, i dont think they should have to pay to read about something they created

Well I'm sure the article/ad will eventually circulate through the development team behind the scenes. But scanning it and showing it to the public would kind of be bad for business baby..

Does R-PUB qualify?
As for scanning lowering the sales, well people in places that don't have the magazine wouldn't normally buy anyway so if someone sends a scan to those people via PM I don't see what harm that would cause.

I'll have to see if my local bookstore has this magazine. I'm pretty interested in seeing the article...

What the hell we all support the MOD scan it and show it in a thread as a pic
just don't distribute it
It could be counted as advertising
hint hint
LOL
