Militia Scout -- A small addition

1 Anti-Personnel land mine.

It's against the rules of war, but why should the militia care?

Give it to the scout only. He's got a very light kit, and a not so grand weapon in CQB of Mestia. It can be improvised or whatnot, perhaps. Give it a short decay time after death, and a limit of 1 per life.

Yey? Ney?

Definitely. I've wanted to see claymores return for awhile now. Great idea.

I'd rather see a shoebox mine or something. Just make it like the FH2 mines where it's black and just the tip sticks out of the ground, step on it and BOOM! Don't want to see claymores come back just because they're whored but maybe a requestable kit for militia with AP mines would be nice.

As long as it is equally visible to both sides, i.e. just a bit sticking out of the ground that you better be paying attention to if you're going to see. A real militia is not going to be able to keep track of a bunch of randomly placed AP mines, so there's no reason to believe that they would know where they are placed, so friendlies should not be advised of their position. Definitely FH2 style burying system, prone to deploy and almost invisible once deployed.

Given that I say +1 to this idea. The scout is kinda a lame class currently.

The FH2 scout with s-mine is what I was thinking of. Make it stick out just a bit, and prone to deploy.

Could be annoying. Should be tested, but i think it would really annoy people. Especialy when its placed inside buildings or something like that, where IRL noone would be able to place such a mine. Imagine a bunker you have to enter, and the ground filled with that stuff...

btw, could an engineer defuse them without blowing himself up?

Requestable Weapons

Hi, new to the forums.

Anyways, agreeing with all posts, I just thought of a mix of a few arguments.
I don't know if this is possible(with the game engine), but could it be made into a requestable weapon?
Just like kits you would have to request the s-mine , making them limited (by global number, who can request them etc.), removing that annoyance of finding them "everywhere".

This would really help the militia with ambushes.

I vote Yey!

No it's not the grapple makes it awesome.

+1 i'd play a class with a knife and a grapple.

I say keep the scout unlimited even with this new explosive, as they do not have much else.

Grapples are nice, but squad leaders get them anyways, with a better kit layout for putting the grapple to use.

1) imagine claymores on mestia - brits would need a new advantage or somthing.

2) Claymores a great :-D

3) Are APMs against the rules of war? as far as I know there was a push on an anti-APM treaty about a decade ago, but the US wouldn't sign it because no1 would agree to let them use APMs in korea. (bit stupid of every1 really, cuz how else is south korea gonna defend itself from the 4th largest land army in the world....)

New advantage? Like they need more advantages than they have now. (revive-ability, scimitar, warriors, bunkers/firebases, etc.)
