Alright..Im all for realism, but I cannot stant the fact I can't use the ' Cammera ' HUD. You know, the only with only the thingy? I fly best with that, since its damn near impossible to see the ground below you thanks to that long-nose.

Without wanting to get into a slanging match, do USAF pilots have a "camera" view when they do low level strafing runs?

While I do realise they have terrain following radar to avoid the hills and stuff, if they crash they don't respawn .... ever. Video games have slightly spoiled people in that they can swap camera views to suit themselves, and PR is making it a challenge to play.

Like Clint Eastwood said, "adapt, improvise, overcome". ( 10 points to the person spotting the movie)

I think hes on about when he pushes the free cam button to look arround the HUD turns off. All the HUD is in BF2 is a little bit pn your camra view, and if you where going to keep it on when looking arround the cockpit then you wouldnt see it on the HUD panel. So its not possibal to do this

Heart Break Ridge.

I'd like "Better War Flicks" for 200 Alex.

Well, you see..the cockpits in all the BF games have SUCKED HARD. I would use it, if it wasn't sucky as hell.

The greatest thing ever would be a virtual cockpit that you can sweep around in using the pov hat switch.

Then you could at least pan left or forward left so you can see the ground a little better... it will help in dogfights too to see how big of a turn the guy is making/has made once he leaves your view

fs2004 has mastered cockpits and virtual cockipits. Now thats the standard which should be set, I think.

the worst thing is that you cant see behind you... at least USAF pilots can turn their head around, and look behind them, while using a joystick :P

I fly in RL and I too use FS2004. I must agree, they have everything down to the IP Lights.... Shame the cockpits on BF2 dont have that reaslism going. :-(

Well, to be fair - BF2 isn't a flight sim. ;)
