Latest press release from DICE says that they are implementing a method by which to limit the amount of time before an M203 grenade goes off.

So now it's possible w/o experiencing the bug that makes them go through walls.

Sweet. Less coding work for our coders!

This also means M203's and such won't have to be gimped in the accurancy/range, damage, or the amount !

Good news all 'round!

They say they're going to gimp the range (EA/DICE)

Thats stupid. Why gimp the range? That's what they are for, not 25m away. They need long range sights, not short range ones. WTF?

well as long as the arming delay is in there, then prm can work with the ranges

Right, EA can do whatever they want, just as long as they keep the modding options available.

I'd be happy with it set to true realism just like I'd like every other weapon system. Of course, jamming, wind, bullet drop, all comes at the high end of the spectrum, but with the M203 just put in the average MOA deviation, muzzle velocity and let 'em fly for a week or two.

(edit) WOAH. Does this mean arming delays for missiles as well?

if you can do it with one thing... why not others? probably possible.

the best thing about this was already mentioned though, we won't have to have nerfred nade luanchers. we just need the smoke trails to go away (wtf was dice thinking) and iron sights (remeber e3 2004 vid?) for nade launchers.

Shouldnt be hard to make some calibrate M203 Iron sights.
