A few questions for v0.7..

Hey. I have some questions (mostly for v0.7):
1. When we start the Project Reality mod, we get an welcome screen (first the "Black Sand Studios" and then the "Project Reality" screen).
On that Project Reality screen, it says "Project Reality Mini-Mod". It should not say "Mini-Mod" anymore..
Have you fixed that for v0.7 (I cant see anything about it in the changelog list)?
2. The Grenade Launchers are way to much inaccurate. Most of the times the projectile travels way to much to the left, or to the right. I am very lucky if it travel where I want it to.
In Americas Army (which is a very realistic game), it does not that.
Have you done anything to that? It is not funny to use it now, cause I know that I will probably miss.
3. Have you done anything to the lag on Al Basrah? Some says that it is the helicopters fault, but I dont know.. I dont remember that it was lagging in v0.6, but in v0.61, it lags a lot (sometimes).
4. In the changelog list for v0.7 I can see that Militia team can now request kits. That is nice to hear. But will the Insurgents also be able to request kits? Why/why not? =)
EDIT:
5. When you shoot the Grenade Launchers at close range, they shouldnt explode at all (says some people).. Is this realistic? Are some of the GLs able to explode at close range too (IRL)? And why isnt this in the mod? Not possible with the engine or what?
Keep up the good work with PR. It is a great mod =)

afaik:
1. I could imagine they change that, but i dont know it.
2. Wait before you shoot. You need some seconds before the aim is perfect. But i agree, they could make it a bit easier, since the GL is already limited, and underused.
3. There are a few threads about that. I didnt have much lag on basrah yet, i dont know...
4. The insurgents wont be able to request kits. They will still have pickup kits afaik. The reason for the militia to be able to request is probably the new map, which seems too big for pickup kits, but thats just a guess.

All guns are going to be like that in future if I understand the changes right.
The m203 is very powerfull and this limitation to its use is just right imo, it can be perfectly accurate with practise.
I've taken out snipers with it thanks to the blast radius, which is pathetic in bf2

Why? It should be changed to be a little bit more accurate IMO..
Blast radius pathetic in vBF2? Hah.. No, it is not.. You can say, you need to practice.. I can kill people far away (long range) in vbf2.. In Project Reality, I cant (cause it will travel to the left side or the right side)..

Some military guys said their squadmates in Afghan or Iraq could put a M203 nade through a door at 300yrds after their tour. Once the aim settles for them I'd hope their deviation would allow that.

You have to wait. It becomes accurate when you aim for a few seconds before you fire.

I didnt say I couldnt kill in bf2, but the blast radius was made too small. The reason was the m203 was too easy to use.
I'd much rather have it as it is now in PR, you just have to stay still and its as accurate as it ever was. Next time you line up a shot use the right click and pause before firing
On the river Qwai map with the m203 its possible to kill from the other side of the river, if anything it is too accurate. Theres no crosswind, everytime the shot can be made to land exactly where it was before which is not realistic really. A small delay shouldnt be complained about.
Thats my stats for bf2, I havent really played since 0.5 came out though. 50% accuracy

as Sabre_tooth_tigger said the grenade launchers are very accurate. Shoot from the hip while moving (vbf2 style) and you will have trouble hitting a building. Stay still for a while + aim and you shouldn't have trouble killing people from 100m.

Played a few games after this yesterday and killed myself a couple times firing the nade off too soon, dam thing! I fire and it hits the ground 6 feet in front of me, argh
I still think they did good on this personally, dont rush your shots its russian roulette

1. don't know anything about this.
2. the UGL is VERY accurate, u have to wait a few seconds after moving to shoot.
3. i don't get lag
4. the reason the milita can request kits is they are much more organised that the insurgents , they are in between conventional army and insurgency
5. and IIRC the m203 needs to be in the air for a second or 2 to arm.

The 40mm HE grenades IG have a half a second delay until they explode(ObjectTemplate.detonation.timeUntilCanDetonate 0.5) and explode regardless of the distance traveled.

Ehh, it DOES! I am not talking about the same screen as you think (I know you fixed it one place before)..
Now it is another..
Look at the screenshot - It says MINI-MOD (at the top)..

I like it and just like the name "Project Reality" which was only meant to be temporary, the "mini" part should be left. All good games need alittle bit of irony and this is PR's!

America's Army is very realistic? Bollocks, sure it has some realism but if you're going to refer us to a game that is realistic, please only use Operation Flashpoint or Infiltration KTHNXBAI.

4. The reason the Insurgents don't have requestable kits is because they are not as technologically advanced in this mod. The Dev's are going for a more primitive gameplay style which forces you to use ambush tactics and coordinate assaults due to the lack of technology.
