Quick sum: if you ask for repairs in a vehicle everyone on the minimap is marked as an engineer, no matter what kit they actually have.

Let me add to this bug since it's pretty annoying.

When you are in a vehicle and you request repairs on the map you will see many engineer repair symbols. Not all these symbols are engineers. Many are actually Support Ammo kits or Medics. From what I can tell anyone with a kit that is capable of giving something to team mates be it Ammo, Health or Repair shows up as a wrench symbol on the Map.

So when you call for repairs and see a sea of wrenches next to you, there might NOT actually be an engineer near you. I will recreate this and take a screen shot and do a bug report as soon as I can.

No...everyone shows up with a wrench, I was an optics rifleman and had an apc flame me over chat for not repairing him.

Yea, actually the only way to find an engineer is to open the squad screen, check all squad, looking for the wrench icon next to the SM names, click on him to find his location in white on the map and rally him ASAP.

Actually guys its the shovel it counts as a repairing tool. It used to not be a problem because the only guys with shovels were Rifleman and Engineers only. Now that everybody gets a shovel, everybody gets a wrench symbol see? It may be getting worked on to solve this.

Is there anyway to sort out ammo and the repair markers? Makes it very misleading when needing either!

Everyone with shovel show up, since shovel is a repair-ability - and there is nothing to be done about that, appearantly. Just stop looking for wrench-icon and start looking for backpacks instead.

I know the feeling. We usually run armor in the same squad and constantly run into this problem. Sad thing is when you're surrounded by "wrenches" maybe only 3 people on the entire team are actually engies, and they are almost always on the other side of the map from you. Murphy's law I suppose...

Sucks to hear the repair icon is tied to the shovel, I really hope this gets fixed sometime soon.
