When bringing up the Spotting menu (with or without binoculars) and as a Squad Leader, when I right click to choose manually I do not see all the vehicles. I have heard others spotting enemy aircraft and choppers however either I am missing something or I'm just not seeing that option. When I attempt to spot them using the old aim, spot and LMC as normal it just says the generic "enemy spotted".

So is this a bug or am I missing the boat here?

So I guess this isn't happening to anyone else?

I was able to spot helicopters and planes with just the Spotted command this morning however I had to be in a vehicle to do it. It would still not do it as infantry. So why does it allow me to spot aircraft in a vehicle and not walking around? Still does not show the manual selection for aircraft in the drop down menu in either vehicle or infantry.

I know what you mean... I couldn't spot enemy attack helicopter... It's all about VOIP i guess.

Yeah, this is a little annoying. Click on key on keyboard for compass rose, right-click to bring up menu, scroll through menu to select enemy type, then click on it.... only to find you can't even do that because the type of enemy isn't there! doh! :d uh:

i think this is the way it was intended.

i found i can spot choppers and airplanes as SpecOps with the soflam - got to select "Vehicle" as i guessed

pretty hard to spot an F16 flashing over your head - soflam (xtrem zoom, menu - where is vehicle again? ... oh too late)

Im starting to have this issue appear randomly.

I normaly run solo, I no i cant spot solo(stupid if you ask me), forcing me to join a squad(there are a few good ones out there) to spot enemy activity, but...

I cant spot with any kits, Sofam, Bino's, nor Weapon.. iv even tryed being sat under enemy armor, yet nothing seems to work (This is within a squad and/or being Commander).

The only current way to inform my team of enemy locations, is if im a commander and place map markers(Very rare i command), or give acurate map locations.

I would like the ability to spot enemy air assets using the menu. Especially helicopters - as there has been more than 4 times the past week where it would have been useful to report it to the entire team as well as my squad.

Helicopters and aircraft fall under the spot type of 'Vehicle'. I tried it when civi and commander.

So point at heli, right-click, choose vehicle and it's spotted. Vehicle applies to the Scimitar as well.

What about spotting infantry as civilian? I tried to spot non-sniper infantry a couple of days ago by selecting "soldier" but nothing showed up in the map. I tried it maybe 20 times during the match and it didn't work even if the target was stationary. Spotting snipers and hardware seemed to work every time...
