Lower Sensitivity MGs, why not Sniper rifles?

Hey guys,

I noticed that Automatic Rifleman kits lower your sensitivity when zoomed in now which I think is excellent - It allows me to crack off more accurate shots beyond short-med distances.

Then I thought - Why not impliment this for:

A.) Sniper Rifles & Marksmen
B.) All Kits

I for one find shooting at extreme ranges; especially when zoomed in difficult, because my mouse tends to 'skip' a large area when it's just moved a little, making it difficult for me to crack off accurate shots with a sniper rifle.

It's annoying when inching the mouse up or down will show you the top or bottom of a bunker window, but never the window itself!

I dunno if it's a sensisivity issue, or something to do with my mouse perhaps, and the pixels it can read? But I feel that a 'sturdier' scope is required for ranged weapons; if not all weapons when zoomed.

(The same is true for using vehicles at range)

That's your mouses and sensitivity acting up. Gaming mouses have sensitivity changing buttons right on the mouse too, and they're very smooth. My MX518 has no problem aiming at any pixel.
I'm guessing you have a ball mouse? Have you cleaned it recently?

I actually have an infra-red mouse; no idea what kind. It's a little crappy Trust one that came with the PC.

It's got a left click, a right click, and a clickable scroll wheel :P

I concur. I don't know why unrealalex decided to ignore the first part.

I have nothing against the first part, was just saying not being able to focus on a bunker window is produced by the mouse.

It should be for weapons with deployed bipods.

But why would you swing sniper rifles round like baseball bats when scoped? :(

It'd also help with this new deviation thing.

Jaymz - Does this mean it may be in .8? :D

I think if you had a sniper and you were tracking an enemy that was really close, and you needed to take him out it might be a problem, scroling that mouse across the desk 6 times...but I suppose other kits could benifit from this.

Your mouse doesn't sound to healthy either ;)

Take it one step further. Make the sensitivity progressively lower at each level of zoom. Leave the existing sensitivity at the 1st level and markedly lower at the 2nd level of zoom.

Yeah I wouldn't mind this if it wasn't to much trouble. A guy zoomed in to 10x probably isn't flashing that scope to the left and right super fast anyways. I use a G5 mouse and just kick down the sensitivity when I'm sniping with a rifle or tank :) % custom settings is nice!

I can aim pretty well with my mouse, enough to cap most fools anyhow. I don't think there's a big issue with it to be honest.

You do have a pistol for a reason ;)

I can aim = /

I can aim, but I believe my mouse refuses to read pixels at certain ranges, and as a result moving my mouse just one notch will 'overshoot' an enemy, and I have to shuffle my position for the crosshair to be on the target.

Get a Logitech G5 mouse. I know you can do fine with a regular one...but a good gaming mouse can make a WORLD of difference at times.

I think the reason I play Automatic Rifleman so much is because it's the only weapon I can hit people with at range with my mouse!

I can do 'fine', but when it comes to range, I can't hit **** because my mouse doesn't cut the grade.

---

Are there any contenders for the G5, or is it my best bet for a good gaming mouse? Where can I get one cheap, in the UK?

Get yourself a good mouse, like the G5.. I think everybody I know has one :S

And don't touch the sensitivity of other wapeons.

and reset the automatic rifle.

For those who have a fat stupid mouse, reset your options or buy a new mouse.

I hate the sensitivity of the automatic rifle bad.
