Reminder for every PR player

I'd like to say to everyone that is feeling rather annoyed at the number of posts that are bashing the Devs for making the Reality Mod to real to remember a few things.
0.7 is still new. Plenty of smacktards and newbies would be and already is joining our ranks and most probably this forum. Therefore its only natural that negative comments and complaints would be piled up skyhigh.
I've not seen this many locked threads in a long while and I am very disappointed at some of the player base that only knows how to diss the Mods for developing a Modification of a game completely for free. I mean you'd get strange people that go " why dont you do this and that? its easy right? thats why I'm not doing that"
Therefore I'd like to use this thread as a focus for people who do agree that 0.7 is an improvement in terms of where the mod is going. Obviously there would be mistakes and bugs since its a radical change from before.

haha indeed.
what really amazes me though, is that it's been 2 days. quicker now than any previous release, imo.
oh well. at any rate, we still have the core playerbase

Hear Hear on this thread and others like it!
I'm still upset we didnt have a ceremonial burning of the minimap tbh
Well done Devs and thankyou, your game is literally ALL I play, love it and I've made some great friends on here and I've never worked so tightly with strangers before.
Once more Congrats on what in my eyes is the best release until 0.8

Its funny how anyone that disagrees with 0.7 is instantly labeled a smacktard and a newbie.
Just because they have a different opinion doesn't make them a rubbish player.
IMO it can be quite rediculous how hard it is to kill/locate/know where you are with the non-existant mini map now. Rediculous to the point of a reduction in gameplay quality.
Anyway, this will probly get ignored and I guess Im a noob.
Nevermind

No the smacktard noobs are those who complain about something then start bashing the DEVs about ruining THEIR mod and that they demand all those features back. I feel the same about getting lost but you really need to associate yourself with the good squads because with a good squad and SL the map couldn't really help much in fact a mini map would've distracted us. My best round of PR EVER!! has been on 0.7 and I have been playing since mid 0.5. Also quick note for those who will state that without the mini map medics have a hard time here is trick that if you would've thought it through it would've been obvious. Go to options and make the map and icons almost transparent. Now when you are in game just pull out your map and zoom over your position with the mouse wheel and voila you got the new Casualty Tracker 2.0 with included "Know where everybody is" GPS. Oh and you cant use the mouse wheel to switch between equipment while map is up so learn the numbers to the equipment and you'll be even more efficient with reviving and healing.

Hi friend,
I'm sorry about calling you a newbie then, but have you heard about Situational Awareness and Fog of War? it IS hard to kill/locate/know where you are in RL. Same complaints I heard when they removed the Friendly/Enemy tag too.
Warfighting isnt accurate. Its messy. PR gets that

I can understand the resistance here and there. We've always played with the minimap and everything, it may be awkward to some. We now have to rely on squadmates and our own mind and are no longer warned by the red dots on the gps.
If you wish to stay alive, spot the enemy and tell your squadmates. If they do the same for you, I'm pretty sure you'll stay alive a lot longer

I remember my first post on this forum, somewhat livid that the supply box now could drift any which direction and off by a mile. Offcouse, after a while I learned to adapt and be on my merry way.
Now that the dev's have made some very drastical changes in the gameplay, it does not surprise me that alot of people who feel invested have a little rant.
Let them. I'm sure the DEV's don't take it to hard. They've got to play it for some time and therefore see the wisdome in their new choices.

I just started playing the game. Now, as you have said, whenever I am in a server I see lots of complaining about 0.7 and arguments between players. What exactly has changed to piss people off so much?

Hehe, there are some people who seem to be more intent on complaining than actually playing. One guy was bitching about how much .7 sucked for 4 rounds in a row, if I recall correctly.
Simply put, if there's something you don't like, or which you think isn't realistic, suggest it in a polite way, without demanding that -your- mod gets fixed, and I'm sure that it'll get you much further.

Stuff that would piss (stupid) people off:
No Minimap
No spawning on the SL, supply trucks, or APCs.
Changes to the HAT's trajectory
Weapon deviation due to movement lasts after you've stopped moving for 3 seconds or so
Probably it.

Damn, that looks like piss!!
My personal gripe is when people bash the mod before it's even released! So far, I simply love it. Very well done guys!
Cheers.

As [R-DEV]IronTaxi says on every release you get the same ****. Lots of moaning minnies who simply dont like change.
I'm sooo happy... because i was pretty bored with 0.6 gamplay.. and now i have loads of new stuff and quirks to figure out and master. The game fells SO different its just amazing.
The game is even slower now... which will turn people away id droves... well turn a certain type of player away in droves
I LOVE the fact that the DEVs are definitely not trying to win a popularity contest.. its the best thing about the DEV team... they know what they want and its often not what the people screaming loudest on the forums want.
Beautiful is my word for 0.7

Well I’m a bit worried about some of the changes in .7 but I really didn't like .6 and a lot of the changes for 7 really excited me, so I’m just going to play for a while before I decide if .7 is good or bad, I’m sure that every version still to come will introduce more controversial changes but we have to trust that the devs that they know what they are doing, anything that is bad for game play I’m sure will be changed for next version.

People will warm to it. I hated the deviation the first time I took aim at someone's tin can expecting to blow his noggin away from 400m and my shot hit a tree in the next valley.
Now I can (usually!) pop people quite handily if I take my time, and I love watching people run (or even jump, still!) and trying to shoot madly whilst accurate rounds cut through them
I also discovered the not-secret secret to using RPs in 0.7. Rally on them!©
