Ok the insurgents could use a mass troop carrier and the first thing i thought of was the Battlebus from command and conquer generals. Basically its a Bus with makeshift steel sheats for some more armor. Nothing much but it would be nice to have.




Now some additional suggestions



This idea may not appeal to everyone which is why im putting it seperate from my first suggestion. In CNC Generals, you could load up the battlebus with infantry and when the btatlebus is destroyed, it is instead immobilized and turned into a bunker. When its destroye din its bunker form, its done for. This idea is just kinda something thrown out, the main focus of the thread is getting them a mass troop carrier (a bus).


This could also be applied to the Militia instead of the insurgents. Whichever the devs would deem more appropriate.

I like my van idea more

I like the idea also but for it to be a real insurgent bus it needs to be all jingled out with pictures of Elvis or Bruce Lee on it. Thats what they had in Afghanistan anyway.

how about a van like this?
we could take this generic van (chevrolet astrovan) and just throw some plates or corrugated stell on the sides for protection. It can hold up to 8 people counting thr driver and some coaxial MGs on the sides? fell free to photoshop your ideas onto this van

I like the Idea of the CNC Battlebus as it was a sweet ad to gameplay and tactics making roadblocks possible... Also, a van like above is interesting for hit&runs.

If someone is interested in modeling, coding and texcturing those, it would be a perfect ad for 0.8 or maybe 0.7XX.

Well I dont think it would be appropriate for Insurgents seeing as it would be slow and noticeable which means it would get smoked by a Scimitar,Warrior, or C2.The insurgents are fine with cars and small trucks,they use ambushes and hit and run tactics and to them being noticeable and slow is just asking to be killed. The DEVS already modeled some of the vehicles for sitting up to 6 people so there would not be much use out of a up armored van for them.However the Militia could maybe use something along the lines of that

Militia is into real stuff. BRDM's and stuff.

this van above can go like 100mph. its not slow, but with armor mabey 60. It could be used for stopping and assaulting people and then leaving the scene quickly before the APCs could move in

a van at least saving from being shot out easily would be nice, when the rear or sidedoors would be open you could also shot out. it would not have to have much more HP than the pickup. what about also let it give ammo to near standings, so that it would be a little supplytruck ??

An armored van that has ammo...and an open side door.........

Maybe: openable/closable(all back and side dors) by the co driver for more protection ???????????
