Noobs`Mines`TK's`Punish`BS

Why is it u lay a mine & some noob will drive right over it & give u a punish? Happn to me this moring, there was more than plenty room to drive around it.

Anyway, can something be done i dont think its right, can the red x & crossbones be made bigger? or a big flag saying "noob dont drive over this" Or even better can the commander or maybe SL be incharge of punish or not? i mean the dead guy IRL has no say for sure.

I like to play engineer and it sure hell is discouraging when noobs are so blind or just mad cause they werent watching, and punish you for there dumbazz moves.

If its not hardcoded, i think the driver should loose points instead of the person who placed the mine. But then again we have ppl who mine the main flag entrance....

its the driver of the vehicles fault. the driver is responsable for his vehicle and the passengers inside it. and if he ignores the glowing skull and crossbones or is too much of a hurry to drive with due care, then he is not responsble enough to drive. with the exception of the smacktard player that puts it under the wheel of a friendly verhicle with the intention of Tking them.

yeah thats what i mean, i just doin my job planting a mine, i dont do it at our main entrance, but i know what ur saying peep do, but im mean the smacktards that just dont watch, 90mph everywhere, then BOOM , then there like WTF and they see "tk" at top & hit punish & sometimes even swear at ya.
freakin noobs, LOL

maybe a dev will tell us if it can be fixed somehow

I thought they wanted to fix that for 0.7, with noone being punished?

I think they removed the negative score for hitting mines, and I read that the forgive/punish function was hardcoded afaik

Now you really can't argue whos fault it is, because if its always the drivers fault and he gets the punishment, then the system can be easily abused by planting friendly mines on friendly vehicles intentionally....

Though in an actual scenario it usually is the drivers fault for not knowing and hitting an enemy mine, unless its placed so dang well that you don't notice it :P

If only the mines could be coded like the molotovs and not be damage from a "player" but rather from environment, thus resulting not in giving a kill or tk

Christ don't mention that. You'll have all the whingers crying for minimap back because it'd be "useful" for spotting mines.

If somebody is gonna TK they will do it with mines or rifle , nades, i mean if the will is there ya know.

well in our electronic work we have the red Xbones i mean gosh ....

its discouraging to take the kit, knowin some noob probalby give u a punish before ur fisnished, espcially if u lay a few of them.
i was hoping a dev or someobdy would read & maybe shed some light, would be interesting to know if it could be fixed or made better somehow.

"I HAVE DROPED A MINE AT PALACE BY ACCDIENT, DO NOT! DRIVE OVER IT!!!!!"
many people after typed lol ok, but some total noob who doesn't deserve to play even vinnila drove right over my mine and punished me, flowed by calling me rather rude names

people punishing you is when the server admin have turned voting on.

Due to the old bug of new people joining the server initiating a mapvote, plus the fact TK punishing causes resentment, iGi server has it disabled so you can play and no one gets in a really bad mood (which can lead to gameplay disruption and vendettas)

what about adding a new item to enginger kit:

"A warning sign"

it could be placed anywhere, doing nothing only warning own team mates.
when placed in range 10m from mine teamkill doesn't count
