5 Ton / 7 Ton Transport Trucks

I brought this up once in the past in a previous post about the few vehicles that can carry a full squad. As of right now, I know of these that can:
1: RIB
2: Blackhawk / Little Bird
3: APC (if you lack one person)
Now, if these were put in, I am not saying on every map but on some of the larger maps that have less vehicles such as city maps. Let them hold room for about 8-10 people since usually squads never leave each other anyway, plus nobody likes when someone gets in an APC solo leaving a whole unit of guys to walk their way into the battle (which I know has taken me up to 5 minutes to get to the firefight at times). If they are implimented, yes they will be targets for the enemies (which would further increase their importance of getting people to the lines not behind) and they will also be very vulnerable verses any type of medium to heavy fire. Vehicles is a big issue now with vehicle whoring and such that goes on, this is supposed to be an Infantry battle not an Armor battle, so these could have maybe one .50 Caliber M2 Machine gun mounted above the cab for defence.
Any thoughts?

I'd like to see basic troop-carrying trucks in the game with the real-world load capacity of 12 or 15 people. I'd also like to see blackhawks given their real-world load capacities, APC's given their real-world load capacities, and Bradley IFV's/BMP's put into the game with their real-world weapons and load capacity.
Further deviating from this thread, every nation in the game has a self-propelled artillery 'tank'; lets put them in as our artillery vehicles! GASP! By leaving their rear hatch wide open, infantry or snipers who get close enough can shoot or grenade the crew out while the armor protects it somewhat from counter-battery and small arms.
I don't think cloth and wood trucks are going to be very popular on the front line, but would be a nice addition to a 'convoy' mission map, which is very possible to do using AAS, I think.

Agreed with self propelled and player operable arty, I hate the commander arty.
Though I do hope most crews would button up their vehicles!

If the moddelers need some high-res detailed photos of some larger military rigs - let me know. Maybe a nice deuce 1/2? I can get up close and personal with them...

Nice Fat Target (NFT) for some skinny with an RPG
But serios ly great idea would save lots and lots of walking for the troops unless some tosser nicks off with it.

No ammo it in. It would burn but not explode. And I seem to recall mobile arty vehicles keep their back doors open in case of misfires and to keep the heat down.

hmmm 5-ton with the mounted .50 cal, carrying say 10 in the back (+the driver and gunner you got 2 squads). Me likey! Could use it for an objective based mad dash across a map kinda deal.

5 ton trucks and other logistical equipment are being looked at. Probably yes.

Can it be coded to hold more than 6 people though? I seem to remember this being cited as a problem when the low-capacity of helicopters was brought up before.

You will never see SSV's (Soft Skin Vehicles) being used to take troops into Battle - pure suicide, they are only used to transport troops in "safezones" - or to a drop of point miles behind the action (even that is not done much).
The CVR(T) Spartan is a nice compact APC we use and would carry a crew of 3 with 4 dismounts in the back, lightly armoured/tracked/agile but fast - ideal for city maps in my opinion.
Warrior - thats the APC to use in larger maps, and city maps for that matter
Logistic purposes only for SSV's - and as said yes they are being looked at.
