Never been in a tank/apc in real life, so a question to somebody who has:
Are the optics slaved to the machine guns really as good as they are in PR?

This is not a complaint, just curious....

Yea they are basically.

yep, the cannon and MG use the same optics.

Another often overlooked fact is that on the original M1 Abrahms the coaxial gun was a .50 that served a secondary duty as spotting rounds for the main gun.

They're better in real life, since they're real IR and stabilized.
