While I cannot thank you guys enough for developing this great mod, I can't help but think you have released this new version to soon. There is much to like but lot's to hate well. New vehicles, maps and sounds are all good, as are the changes to how some of the maps play, however some changes made actually hinder squad based play rather than enhance it despite my original thought that it would make it even more necessary.

1. Not being able to spawn on a squad leader, you would think this would make players more inclined to stay alive and keep within the squad as protection, however once they are killed, if no rally point is close by, it has been my experience that the squad is strung out over the whole map, and the members end becoming involved in other activities. This invariably leads to long periods of boredom as squads try to link up again, and many players just become frustrated and leave.

2. While I hate being HAT sniped myself, the reticule taking so long to close has really almost made this bit of kit redundant, having to stand like a statue while it closes for a shot may be more realistic, but does not enhance the game play, maybe a shorter period, and the ability to move as it closes, would satisfy both camps.

All other changes I applaud, I just hope the reality part does not become the sole focus and kill off game play, and new players, as a community we need more playing this mod, but I feel the reverse is about to happen, but hey, I thought that the Arabs did 9/11 too!

Long live Loose Change!!

1) Stay alive, use medics and work as a team to live. Trust me, it works.

2) Why does everyone keep complaining about H-AT's!? I've used them 3 times so far and destroyed an APC, 2 Tanks and an AA. I think the new system is brilliant and really adds to the realism.

That is poor squad leadership and communication. It shouldn't be swept under the rug of SL spawning.

The reason people are experiencing "strung out squads" is because they're trying to employ PR.6 and BF2 vanilla tactics in a game that punishes it. If your squad moves together, attacks together, covers each other, heals/revives one another, and properly updates rally points and movement objectives (i.e. TEAMWORK), then "strung out squads" is a non issue.

If I take little Susie and Jimmy to the mall, and Jimmy keeps running off on his own, it's his own damn fault. He either gets grounded for 1 week or I kick him out of the family squad.

The family squad. lol...or you could make him an offer he could-notta-refuse.

Yeah to many people blam the game when this release puts a lot on the shoulders of Squad Leaders. Soon enough people will learn the game. I've played COUNTLESS games of 0.6 with no rallies and 15 idiots sitting on the carrier because they didn't put ONE F'n rally down. It's not the games fault. Rallies are even EASIER to put down now...don't go being aggressive with it. When you die you are out of the action for a minute or two (if you have a rally)...this is how it should be IMO. Heck I have no problem making it longer really. Mind you there is a big group of people that would for sure play a 15 respawn vBF2 version of this game and they are still out there dicking around I'm sure especially after this release. Noobs go home, newbies...stick it out for a few weeks. I would give up complaining about the same things over and over...there are like 30 posts about this stuff already...no offense. Give the old search tool a whirl. Whatever happened to El Vikingo, he would bash post-repeaters in an instant 5 months ago.

Lol, I get it, because I dont have a posting ranking, and a nice colourful tag to go with it I'm a noob.

As I tried to say, it should lead to closer co-operation and game play, but it does not at this stage, we only have a small core of longterm players in Australia, the rest are first timers or irregulars. Once the rally is "GONE" and the Ubersmart squadleader is the only one alive, then you have my original observation. In the end this is a game, players will do as they want, if you make it too hard for new players you will lose them, when we are desperate to attract them. Reality comes at a cost!
