Harmonica,or barbecue maybe?

There we were, sitting at West Beach,a full squad and no Yanks at home (too busy capturing other CP's)and we waited. And waited. And waited.Took the odd shot at a chopper but mostly we were waiting for Dam to be retaken so we could recapture the beach front.Must have been 15 minutes before the commander decided to send us to our deaths in the APC on the friendly mine at the entrance (Sorry, said driver guy,I thought FF was off ;-) )

Anyway,we could really have done with something to break the boredom down on that beach hence the suggestion for a harmonica addition to one of the kits so a squad member can wind us all up with "Home, home on the range" or something similar. And we could have cooked a bite to eat while we were there, hence bringing in the camp fire soldier's spirit to the game, which is where the barbecue comes in.

What do you all think? Should I take a fastrope direct to Hell?

(Anyone with a sense of humour failure should not reply to this post.)

Or we could have a kettle so we can set up a brew although the British armoured vehicles already have that inbuilt.

Insurgents could get an ability to 'NICK KETTLE'

Then the brits WOULD be screwed.

"SIR, WE CAN'T GO ON - THEY'VE NICKED OUR KETTLE!"

Or how about a new game mode for Al Basra?

RETRIEVE 9 KETTLES

I would of done target battles. Aim at something and have 2 peopel engage them. And the person that hits the target wins.

What is this supposed to mean ? Harmonica ? Are you crazy ?

We need pole dancers !

I think the "harmonica" would be awesome. Add two different versions to two different kits that play two different notes each - one on left click and one on right click.

Then you'd have four notes total and tunes would be possible!

Would also distract the chopper/jet/tank/APC whores sufficiently whilst waiting at main base that they wouldn't throw smoke or TK each other ;)

I'm gonna try this right-click for secondary fire bull that EVERYONE seems to use...

Me and my brothers must be the only people who have (since I was 9) used right-mouse for jump, and space for secondary fire (Zoom, etc)

My basis for this, was when the original games we played were CS and TFC - You needed to jump more often than you had to apply your silencer on and off.

At least you don't have left mouse for prone since you started to play BF2

No, but my C key is now just completely black it's been used that much since BF:V, BF2, BF2142 and PR.

Oddly enough, so has my S key... no I'm not a coward! :(

CTRL and SHIFT are the only two keys of mine that are loosing their markings. Spacebar has had the texture worn off though, and AWSD are also a tad shinier than the rest. My mousepad is amazingly smooth lol.

Extract kettles using harmonica squad perhaps.

"Deploy camp fire" button on T rose would be awesome.

I've realised that the barbecue is already in game in the way of smoke grenades. They look just like my barbecues anyway.Sausage anyone?

Instead of RPs, we should deploy camp fires.

The *** on one pair of my desert combats were so worn you could see through them... Makes me think i sat down too much instead of getting in a good firing position. The "Sitting unsupported, dont-give-a-fuck Firing position" should be implimented in PR. You would be amazed how much on a long patrol in Afghan in the greenzone we would just sit down when we stopped. It was after 48 hours continued advance to contact though.
Not quite the same as keyboard wear i know...

No, not harmonicas! Just let the SLs deploy campfires, complete with six Italian sausages on a rack and a crate of beer nearby. Also, give the officer kit a six-string guitar, just for kicks.

Also, does anyone find it funny as hell that the Challenger 2 has a tea-brewing machine built in? We should be able to order cups of tea from Challengers that restore 10 health or something!

Awwww... how about a deployable tent, full of beer and hotdogs and a jukebox. We can call it the recreation tent to be technical about it. Music plays when you go inside. Or... when requesting a kit you can finally request a good ole beer from the quartermaster, which upon accepting your player will become instantly intoxicated.

The fact that the British armoured vehicles have in built tea brewing facilities is not only AWESOME it is also COMPLETELY NECESSARY as your average tank commander is of a higher class than you and me and cannot respire using 'common' methods, he therefore uses a combination of Tea and North Sea gas to produce energy, only creating the waste products of margarine and candyfloss.

What is said above is like totally true cos my third cousin was like totally in the army or maybe the cadets or like a cub scout or whatever and he knows stuff.

That's the spirit guys.No DEVs commenting though.Perhaps they're deep in thought about this. But I don't think they're taking this seriously enough.

Maybe I should start a new thread screaming for fastkettles? And tents with beer obviously. And M82 SI campfires (That's Self Igniting).

Or maybe we'll get enough suggestions for a tea brewing, beer drinking, sausage eating, trouser shredding, pyromaniac MOD for BF2 with SOIP (Singing-over-internet-protocol).

Bring your own harmonicas then you reckon?

What's voip for if it's not for playing guitar and harmonica to your squadmates?

Perhaps we should build USB tea makers and then we can have the game actually brew you a cup of tea. THAT would be awesome.
