M1A2 Abrhams 7.62 Machine Gun Bug

While playing today in Texas ...Teamplayers... server on Kashan, my US tank, the Abrhams, showed that as soon as I got into it it had no ammo for the 7.62 machine gun. It also made the tell-tale clicking sound of an empty chamber when I right-clicked. However, when I right-clicked (while it was making the clicking noises) my squadmates told me that I was indeed firing my weapon.
When I "fired" I could see no tracer, and no puffs of bullet impacts were visible to me, although my squadmates observed all these things. I was able to kill enemy infantry by just spraying them with machine gun fire, but it was hard to guide bullets in without the tracers.
Thank you for your time.

uh oh.. not that one again... it was in apc's last time. It was avoidable but can't remember how.

The APC firing bug was usually due to being in the driver seat while a non squad member "spawned" directly into the gunner's position and fired. When the driver switched back to the gunner's seat, it would be bugged. Now that APC spawning is gone, the APC bug is gone.
So how did it happen in a tank? It could be that a non squad member jumped in the .50 while your or one your squad was in the driver seat. Was anyone else around?

i know what u mean, i was in a squad where my driver and i were on same squad and i tried to fire teh gun and no tracers except for the empty sound.... my teammate told me i was firing but it was sooo freakin hard to see where the hell the gun was firing that i jsut gave up on long distances... nobody was on the tank excpet for me n my mate.... its annoying. Ohhh and also, when firing far, i would fire the main cannon and i would see it hit a tank directly on, but my driver told me i either over shot or undershot it and it didnt hit... indeed it did not, had to adjust to how my gunner told me after like 5 shots i got it right, but thats weird, how could i see something thats not what my driver sees??? how am i suposed to fight like that?

Same on APC and TANK, The MAIN probleme is, because a newb ( who's dont take the time to read the "biblic manual" ) go in the turret, shoot, then its bug all ammo to 0, you dont see tracer or bullet pup, but it works, i figured out yesterday after got 4 TK cause i "click" at my squad mate and like 8 chinese head whitout seeing any tracer, blood puff or what ever.

Well, I do not think anyone was in the tank before me, but I jumped in it at US main base and it said it had no ammor. It had both types of tank shells, just no machine gun ammo. I,too, found out it worked by right clicing a teamate, and I got some sh*t for that!

happened on chally 2 as well. Except my squad didnt say anything that i actually fired the MG, but the fact it was empty on a freshly spawned vehicle.

I have a feeling this is a BF2 engine problem. The devs made vehicles unusable by certain kits and people not in your squad so the BF2 engine may have added onto that somehow and screwed up the ammo display. Although I'm not PR/BF2 coding/programing expert so don't trust what I say in this. Just my 2 cents.

Had the same problem today (M1 Abrams).
But not just with the MG, also with the Sabot rounds. Showed zero, but eventually it showed 20 again, without any resupply around. But the MG ammo always showed zero, but teammates saw me fire.
