0.7 is so just so difficult without a microphone, that i had to go out and buy one and use it....to talk....to..people

However, 0.7 with a mic is very enjoyable but one quick question, as a mic virgin what is the key command name (not default key) for speaking to the commander when you are squad leader?

Cheers

I mapped both of my VOIP keys to the forwards and backwards keys on my mouse.
This makes it much easier to use as you don't have to take your hand off the mouse to talk.

I mapped those for easy access to weapons/equipment.

I use the scroll wheel for weapons, stupid bad habit cos I ALWAYS get shot while flicking through them to see what Ive got and I'll twitch to shoot and pick up a nade :P Using mouse buttons for voip is a gr8 idea too, I've done it since I started playing PR :P

Now you've finally decided to become a a real man instead of a silent mute try learning some quick radio protocol.
It can help loads. Far too many people I know with mics do this.. "errm Theres enemies somewhere, not sure where, theyre shooting though, could be from there... Not sure though"
"taking Fire! Pinned down... possible several hostiles northeast or north of my location"

Don't be unfriendly but the time for chatter is when youre dug in on a flag or something, I personally think it adds so much atmosphere when I demand proper radios comms as an SL and then let folk relax and chat more when we're chilling out on defence. it's great when you get carried away (cos I havn't been letting you chatter like monkeys all round :D ) and then the peaceful chatter is broken by a hostile advance

If you've a mic, look to join Cheomesh's squad.
