APC/Scimi guns?!?! what happend!?!

What happend to APC/scimi cannons?
Yesterday i played al basrah with a friend. We went in the Warrior.
First of all, fire rate is sooooo slow, (isnt it faster IRL?)
Secondly, I shot 3-5 heat shots (all hitted) on a red suicide "car"(note, not the big truck) And it still kept driving into us and we died!
Please, i dont know how these cannons work in REAL life, but im sure they can totally destroy a car instantly! Fire rate is way too slow, more like FH2, did u put in a WW2 cannon into it?!
Plz do something. They were far much better in 0.6.

Says standard rate of fire on LAV-25's standard machine gun is 200 rounds/min = 3.3 shots a second, now its more like 0.5 shots a second

Wiki the APC you were in and youll see that they got it right. LAV-25 is not a Warrior or Scimitar.

I'm afraid I'll disappoint you.
The main gun used on Scimitar and Warrior is not the Bushmaster (used by LAV) but a nice little L21A1 Rarden. Now this thing is said to have ROF (Rate of Fire) 90 Rounds per minute (that means 1,5 per second).
The ROF in game is (unfortunately) realistic and I doubt it'll change - at least as long as British army won't find a better alternative to that 50 years old grandpa.

It is in fact a really old AA cannon that there was soo many hanging around they decied to chuck them into the warrior and scimitar just for the hell of it more or less. So it then has a pretty odd ammo setup cos of this. It is loaded with 2x 3 round clips, which I have a pic of here:
So really this thing only has a magazine of the size of 6x 30mm rounds, and in r/l these are fired off at a really slow rate. They can be fired off at a fast rate but in r/l they are never fired off at a fast rate unless its a real emergency as then you wouldn't be able to load your next ammo in quick enough, as the reloader keeps the mag updated with a new 3 round clip every 3 rounds fired. The most realistic representation of these reloading we can do is to have a large ingame mag size, with a slow fire rate of what would be fired off normally in r/l, otherwise you would have to reload every 6 rounds even if you did fire them off slow which would be kinda bad, but then good that you can still fire your rounds off fast
So ye, it dose really make the cannon on the Warrior / Scimitar kinda bad ingame now, it is still a powerful weapon but now much more realistic.

The ROF in game is 60, should be pushed up to 90 it may be a jump from being really slow to slow

I've heard that there is a type of Warrior with the LAV-25 turret, but that was Wikipedia and Wikipedia is generally full of shit.

There is- Desert Warrior. It's for export only, though; users are Kuwait and I believe also Saudi Arabia.

as far as the rate of fire, for the millionth time this mod is called project REALITY. if you do a little research instead of just whining about the rate of fire because it isnt arcade enough for you you will see the devs made it the same as real life and thats what this mod is aiming for. hell you could copy and paste this reply to about three quarters of the suggestions i see lately.

Man it seems hard to get a serious answer on the second question i posted...
5 HE shots on a suicide CAR, tested it on many other cars too now, my friends saw the explosions "on the car/s", but they still keep driving and suicide me or friendlies.
As long as im concerned the suicide cars are NOT armored in any way, just regular cars with bombs in, 5 HE shots should definately stop the car, shouldnt it?
This happend in the warrior, have not tried in scimi yet.
