The ranking system in game uses ABR (Alternative Battlefield Ranking) because EA, so far, has not allowed modified content to use their ranking.
I think the absense of the commander is a setting only on the GH server. The squad limit is the same as vanilla BF2, as so far this is just a mini-mod.

Which games exactly are we talking about? As much as I love Star Wars games (and Star Wars to an almost religious extent.
Me and my brother both grew up watching Star Wars, and we both are a walking encyclopedia of some of the most random, trivial Star Wars information.) there have unfortunately been very few in recent years, let alone any that would support roleplaying well. The only ones I can think of that would have decent roleplaying is the X-Wing series. I dont think Battlefront and Empire at War would do well. Maybe Galaxies, but Galaxies has recently been butchered by SOE. I cannot think of anything.

You know something I've been meaning to ask the Galaxies nuts is: Why the
hell do you call them toons? Of all the things you can call a character, let alone a Star Wars character, why toon?!

If you are running your own server as far as I am aware, you will be able to customise awards etc. to anything you feel appropriate. I believe that server admins can even award medals etc. "on the spot" as they feel fit (but you should really check with the folks at bf2scripts.com to confirm this).
