Well i was watching BHD,and i wondered why the mod they didnt have at least sub machine guns with limited ammo, i know that Transport heli pilots that goes into hot LZ have at least more then a hand gun..and for the pilots the take special operation squads, are prepared to scuttle the heli and attach themselves to the squad, and im pretty sure they would have more then a handgun.. not really sure bout attack Helicopter pilots though

If you give the pilot anything more then a pistol people will start to use the pilot kit as a "normal" kit just to get the parashoot, so that they don't need to land helicopters just get a squad with pilots and bail over a flag.

interesting...

Im guessing the problem would be... how would you know who was flying what???

i mean i also doubt attack heli pilots carry anything else than a sidearm, if even that?

Resuggestion anyway. And suggestions based on BHD are always a bit... hmm... well, the devs already said no to SMG's for Heli Pilots.

Well if a pilot has to use a gun it means that the heli he was flying is crashed and enemies are closing in. In PR if a heli is "being crashed"then the pilot will be killed as well 99 out of 100 times. Even if he can get out before the crash usually ppl dont fly high enough to survive a parachute dive. Thats why i think it would be useless to give any other weapon to pilots like smgs.

It's fine the way it is. Pilots aren't ground combat units, they're just meant to fly helicopters (or jets), and carry a sidearm for minimal protection in case they crash or something.

Im afraid to say, this thread has been locked due to resuggestion.
Basically, someone has already suggested this.
Please use the Search Function, using the key words of your suggestion, to see if any similar suggestion threads have been posted.

Also, it would be a lot more useful for the community if you used more reliable sources than saying "BHD does this and that". Hollywood can get things very twisted, to the largest or the smallest details, so a more reliable site or literature would be appreciated.
Its also for your own benefit, as you'd probably be due for a good stoning by the more aggressive members of the community.
