Would it be possible to somehow update the Militia Mosin scope with a better crosshair, more zoom or add in the two level zoom, like the rest sniper rifles have?
Not because I like to whore the kit a lot (:rolleyes , but at the moment, Militia sniper is just another pair of marksman rifles, and beside slow rate of fire and silenced gunshots, it's almost identical to the SVD.

The Mosin is the 91/30 sniper vairiant, fitted with a fixed power 3.5x scope with a 3 post reticule. Source

Its current implimentation is a realistic representation of its abilities. Remeber, it was designed with the "Soviet Sniper" concept in mind, where snipers are an intergrated part of the infantry platoon rather than operating sperately.

So it is another pair of marksman rifles?

afaik during WWII some of german snipers had trophy Mosin's 91\30, fitted with Zeis 8x-12x high quality scopes. Why not to add such rifle?

I wouldn't of though they exist in any great quantity modified like that. Certainly not compared the amount produced that won't have been.

Because they are extremely rare, while mosin's with the 3.5x scopes are not.

Stop thinking that rebels fight with stones and such. They can't afford vehicles, yes, but their small arms are quite good. Just tell me what can prevent insuregents from buiing good scope and attach it on their rifle? Anyways, I bet insuregents\rebels\militia even have a unit that is used a sniper. I mean, bolt action rifles, stealth tactics, ghillie suits etc. I think that their marksman weapon should be replaced with either Tabuk rifle or something like SKS with scope (less accurate then common DMR's), while sniper rifle should be SVD (which can be fitted with picatinny rail side mount and some good european\US scope).

How common is the SVD, anyways?

how aout just having them brrow the SL binoculars and sharpie marker to make a 30x power sight. LOL
