land rover

the British land rover has Lamborghini like suspension and any bump, strong gust of wind, pile of grass clippings, or sneeze will send the land rover out of control.

whenever i am driving the land rover, any small bump i hit at speeds will send me sprawling in a weird direction because eather my turning wheels or my drive wheels have lifted off he ground. and my gunner will then loose sight of what is going on and if your getting shot at its damn difficult to make your way out of any bad situation because as soon as you hit a grain of sand your sent head over tea kettle. and you gotta hear that gross BF2 shocks bottoming out sound. its almost as random as the wrench sound ( i have yet to hear any thing click and scrape and make a gross grinding noise when i use a wrench in real life) :o

Ever drivin a landrover at high speed over a bump? I suggest you drive a little slower when off road.

I think it drives just fine.

And half your post is in some weird language. Are you reporting a bug or complaining about the landrover handling... i cant tell.

LMAO! that reminds me when my bro was driving a car though a filed in 5th gear and lost control (which i think was over a bump) and then plowed though a fence hehe.

no i havent, but you obviously havent eather.and i posted this comment in the bug section so its obviously a bug. all the other military vehicles can go off road just fine, but this one cant... its as if it was made on the little hatchback platform or something. and there is no way to go slow in BF2 or any computer game with a keyboard, its eather full speed or nothing at all, so take yer pick.

the video shows the road version of the land rover (range rover) going fast off road and not exploding when it bottoms out, and its the road version!!.

second video is for people that know nothing about cars and love BF2 (though i will say it is very good, but the real thing is cooler)

Thats why I use a throttle- also useful to provide a good firing platform while moving.

It seems all the cars that werent in vBF2 do not have any suspension at all. The White Pickup for Insurgents is the same way.

This is what can happen if you drive too fast in a Landy

The suspension didn't seem too bad last version, yes, it did drive just like it looks-a brick with wheels and a few guns on it-but it wasn't too bad, at least it was quick.

I've ridden in an LR3 at ocotilla wells (desert in San Diego) and he was doing about 115, and it was still real stable...

My dad and I have drive at 50km up a 30 degree slope made of rocks. it didn't explode like the other guys - who where going slow, thought it would.

The Land Rover may be a bit sensitive, but then again, in reality one would be driving carefully in order not to flip or lose control of the vehicle.

In my experience, I believe it drives well enough but does need a level of caution when driving offroad--watch your speed.

well my video shows rovers vehicles doing allright off roads at speed, and if this is about real life it would just make sense to make it good at high speed off roading.

YouTube - Hummer hehehehe just a fun informing video about hummers, not related just cool

It's funny, because right after I posted, I remembered a program I saw on TV that showcased the Humvee and interviewed it's drivers in Afghanistan and Iraq. The driver stated, "We would all try to see who could get the Humvee stuck--no one could".

I would imagine the Land Rover and Humvee are similiar but not exactly the same. Which one performs better off-road I do not know.
