Not much bother, just wondering. I reached 60.000 points and there is no promotion to lieutenant. I saw that there are no lieutenants on the servers and its probably a major ABR bug. Does anybody know why? It's not big deal. I am just wondering so please don't say why do you care about points and promotions. It's just a nice addition to the game. Thats all.

I said that long time ago (october 2006), I suppose that it still works, but I don't know if you can get all those badges anymore because of so many weapon and class changes now.

Well Make (kad već nije Mate) I am not talking of badges, just ranks. You are suppose to become 2nd lt. on 60.000 points without any badges in theory but it seems that it doesnt work that way. I checked ans saw I miss 4 basic badges from which some probably can't be obtained anymore.

I miss knife, explosives, engineer and resupply. I think resupply and engineer repair are beyond reach now. Both need only 5 points but they just don't happen cause the poins are so much different now.

Well all I can say I got engineer badge yesterday. So it's still possible. Just go around and build and repair everything. Supply is not possible cause at the end in the stats for resupply is always N/A.

For explosives I am not sure. I killed lot of people with AT mines and 2 with C4 but no badge. Whatever...

Ranks? Badges? Promotions? I've been playing this Mod since Jan 1st and I haven't seen a single one of these at all. I didn't even think that was in the game. We are talking PR 0.7? I think I'm just confused.

Long time ago most of PR servers was ranked using ABR stats sistem (Alternative Battlefield Ranking). Also there are few servers with their own ranking system.


From PR 0.6, ABR acting pretty much odd and most of servers is not using it anymore, or if they have ABR enabled, it just shows ranks properly (Thors brigade), mainly without collecting any stats from rounds.



Why is Nick trying to get "promoted" and to get all those badges, without ABR properly working on PR servers, I really don't have a clue, but he pleased not to ask that so I just answered his question.


Maybe in future, we will have ABR working in PR again, or not, I don't know.

Well I usually play on Thors brigade and it works fine lately. ABR collects all the stats. I even menaged to get explosives ordinance badge. So I miss Knife and ressuply. In 0.7 it's not possible to get ressuply badge cause ammo bags don't give you points.
So basicaly ABR is working fine but the trigger to become lieutenant is not happening at 60.000 points. Maybe it's a BF2 vanilla bug. Cause in the guides is says that you don't need any badges to become lt. Obviously nobody in DICE didn't think that it would be possible to have no badges and become lt. I see many people stuck at MG Sergreants but WTF.

Even if meneage to get my Knife badge (7 kills in one round) which is very, very hard resupply badge for now is out of reach.

Is ammo bag gonna give points in 0.8? Cause maybe then more people would bring it especilay now when very limitied things give ammo and people are dying amunitionless in God forsaken parts of the Battlefield.

Guys on;y ABR servers(Thors) can raise your stats. Most servers dont becasue people dont care about there stats in Project Reality. On the top bar of forums it says "Stats" clik it and do all needed stuff to see your stats if you have any.
