We do plan on doing it, but chinese weaponry/vehicles are hard to find in terms of realistic sounds. But it will be worked on at sometime.

Just to raise discussion on this.
By the mod's point in the future, Chinese front-line units will have adopted the QBZ-95 family of weapons; carbine, assault rifle, assault rifle + grenade launcher, squad automatic weapon. All weapons fire a 5.8x42mm round designed for higher damage than NATO ammunition while still retaining most of the accuracy. These weapons are of the bullpup configuration and so should have somewhat better recovery-from-movement rates and a touch less recoil but slightly less final accuracy to reflect the manufacturing problems they're having with the new weapon. The sharpshooter version will still be good to 500m, of course.
Just because you'll never hear it again, I really, really want to see Chinese amphibious tanks put into the game. China has a rather sizable force of amphibious armor capable of good speed and stability in water, with crossings up to 10km completed! This would be great for a Taiwan map.
China provides the sort of field, jungle and temperate maps that I really enjoy and I strongly encourage the team to flesh out their weapons as best they can.
http://www.sinodefence.com has a lot more information on China.

I agree with most of what Nikov just said, a Taiwan map sounds great.

What we would really need for urban maps in Asia are reskinned "Karkand" style buildings. If nothing else, tweaking their color scheme in photoshop from drab yellow to concrete grey should be a passable short-term measure.
Seoul and Taiwan would be great American maps, but I suspect our English friends would like to hoist the Union Jack over Hong Kong. Virtually, at least.
